Can a Scamp be pulled by a car?
What is the smallest camper with a shower and toilet?
A lot depends on what you need it to do. Do you want just a place to sleep? Go for one of the smallest, simplest models, such as one of those made by a company called Thor or its Canadian equivalent, Teton. Do you need to shower? If so, look at models with a full kitchen and bath. Do you want to use your camper for other purposes than sleeping? If so, try a model with a more powerful heater and air conditioner. The choices and features vary tremendously from company to company and model to model.
Some of the most successful campers are very simple and don't have the latest tech. For example, the Teton Titan is an effective camper for camping and boating but it has less power and amenities than the next smallest model. So if you only need a place to sleep and spend a lot of time lounging, one of these small models should work well for you.
Touring vans and class B campers do everything these models do with a kitchen, bath and bed that actually fits people comfortably. They cost a bit more, however. Some smaller companies have created camper vans with showers and toilets, but they are not as well-equipped as the bigger company models.
When shopping for a camper van that will give you more features, it's important to know what features you will actually use. The following list is of all of the extra features and features most likely to be used and are worth considering in your camper-van search. The list may be different for other regions.
Features To Look for When Shopping for a Camper: Air Conditioning- Does it have a full, separate cooling and heating system? Are the vents controlled manually or with a thermostat? Do you want the van to be sealed up to keep heat in or vents open to keep heat out? What is the temperature range the air conditioner will accept, from freezing cold to sweltering hot? You may want to leave the heat down to keep everyone comfortable. Power - Are there outlets throughout the camper? If so, where? A power point or two should be present in every room. Most camper vans have outlets in the bed area. Some also have plugs where no outlet exists, which is convenient if you often need to plug in appliances while you are cooking, etc.
How much is a 13 ft Scamp?
The one I will be getting? I know there is a lot of posts on the site about this but none specifically say what the exact cost is. I'm just not sure if the seller I have to be talking to would even know since it's not very common? Any thoughts?
Yes there is a lot of questions on it, not many responses though. It doesn't seem like people really put much effort into answering the questions. At least on this one, they aren't too bad either.
I did read the other thread, but the best answer was in there and I couldn't figure out how to mark that one. The owner has a website, however, and he says it's for sale. He is also an active member on the site so I don't think he would be that hard to talk to directly. If you want to ask him, feel free. That included all of the body work on the back panel, frame, fenders, engine, etc.
I have no idea of the weight of the boat, nor do I know if there is any warranty against anything wrong with the boat. Seats are missing.
Engine is on its last legs. Folding seats could break. The fuel filter needs replacing and is old - this is just something I noticed the day I got it. The boat has had an awful lot of electrical problems. Now - none of these issues could be expensive and would only cost a few hundred dollars, however, the total damage done to the boat is pretty substantial. I hope this helps you get a better picture of what the boat is really worth - although, I did take a good look at the boat when I bought it.
Does the Scamp 13 have a toilet?
It has a bowl and a faucet, but I haven't been able to find a toilet in the Scamp 13. Is there a toilet? Well it has a plumbing system, so if you call it a toilet I'd say it does. Toilets generally have a drain though (just FYI), and they also tend to have a seat or lid or both as well as a lever and a flush handle.
There are some other possible toilets that have these other features, but from your question it looks like you mean the toilet is a standard toilet.
