A good friend of mine owns an air park, and I have had the opportunity to drive most of his trailers on more than one occasion. What is the most popular trailer truck in the US? What is the best one? Is it worth the extra money? The best and worst part of owning an air park is that you have to make many decisions that will affect your business. I will tell you that if you get a trailer like this, you are going to be in great shape.
The best part of the EJ Airtech series 5 is that they are well built and very strong. This EJ is not a "souped up" version of a real trailer, but a real truck with many features added. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the new record holder for the world's biggest lorry is the Russian Antonov An-148 VL-600YK. Built in Russia, delivered to a Chinese customer, and operated by the Chinese operator, it is the most powerful heavy lorry in the world.
More than just a giant tank, with five huge tyres, two big air-conditioning systems, the driver's cabin and cargo hold measuring 7.9 metres long and 3.1 metres wide, the Antonov An-148 - pronounced 'ant-on-off-four-eight', or 'an-ant' for short - looks set to be the workhorse of international road freight.
As I wrote in the Independent last month: 'The last time Russia flexed its brawny muscles, in the 1980s, it sent up a terrifying array of nuclear-armed cruise missiles - but now it is using its formidable industrial might to export an extraordinary array of goods, from metal ore to oil rigs. It is hard not to conclude that a few decades on from the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia has turned itself into the industrial superpower it once accused the West of being. What better example could there be of Vladimir Putin's desire to reshape Russia in his image than this? The An-148 is so enormous, and so heavily loaded with fuel and cargo, that it can take a payload of 4,000 tonnes and tow as many as eight tanker trailers at one time. It can carry everything from ore, steel, iron ore and coal to oil rigs, gas rigs, oil storage tanks and oil platforms.
It can haul 2,500 metric tons, or 4,200 tonnes. Most of those tonnages represent weight rather than raw volume; because there is simply nowhere else to take it. Even the world's largest tankers, such as VLTP1, with capacity of 1.6 million litres, are too small for a large quantity of liquid.
At this weight, it is impossible to drive any other type of vehicle beside it.
What is the most powerful trailer truck in the world?

The answer is a truck called the Titan which is owned by Titan Leasing, a division of Titan Tractor Co. Titan Tractor is a family owned business founded in 1956 by the brothers, Tom and Frank Doman, that operates out of Fort Smith, Ark. I recently spoke with Tom Doman and asked him to share a little more about Titan and the Titan truck. What are your three biggest challenges in the trucking business? The biggest challenge that I have is providing equipment and services that enable our customers to realize the advantages of new technology. When that technology is put to work, it allows our customers to improve productivity, enhance their service and lower operating costs.
The second biggest challenge is dealing with government regulations. We are regulated by state and federal laws that impose requirements on us to protect the environment, safety, and the public. When those requirements are implemented, they impact the way we operate and the products we sell. The third challenge is making sure we have the right technology to meet the needs of our customers. If we don't have the right technology, we may not be able to provide the best products or services for our customers.
How are you approaching those challenges? We approach those challenges through innovation. We are constantly looking for new technology to incorporate into our products, make them more efficient, and better for our customers.
What role do trailers play in the overall operation of a trailer truck company? Trailers are an important part of our operation. They help us move our customers' freight from A to B. But they also provide us with a great place to showcase the latest in technologies.
Can you explain a little bit about the Titan truck and what makes it so powerful? The Titan truck combines the power of three big motorhome generators and can pull almost any trailer. It has a Cummins QSB 6.7L diesel engine that produces 830 horsepower and 880 lb-ft of torque. This is coupled with an Allison 6-speed transmission and an Allison 2.2L transmission.

As of the mid-2000s, the Ford F-Series remains the best selling truck line in the US and the world. Ford is making many improvements with the new 2023 Ford F-250, and if we can't find out what's inside this truck then we're going to have to wait until May for the 2023 Ford F-150.
As for trucks, our top 5 is a bit more diverse than what you'd expect based on the results of our 2023 Truck of the Year rankings. We gave the nod to the Ford F-250, and it placed at #3 here for 2023. It got a higher score from our testers, which makes up for its lower overall ranking. The 2023 Ford Super Duty took the #2 spot, though it only got a single point higher than the Ford F-250. It was ranked higher on our Editors' Choice list. And the 2023 Ram 1500 was our number 4 pick from last year, again taking the #2 spot in our ranking.
Our list of the top 10 trucks of the decade shows a mix of big Ford and Ram, pickups that don't have the power of some other vehicles in our list. And, because of these results, we're predicting a big 2023 with strong numbers for the Ford F-250 and Super Duty and a good shot at an overall #1 ranking by the time the whole decade is over.
