Does Forest River own Coachman?

Does Forest River own Coachman?

Does Forest River own Coachman?

I have just had an email from my local dealer (a Forest River dealership) claiming that the Coachman brand is licensed to the Forest River Corporation. From their website: "The company has been recognized as being a trusted manufacturer since 1933 for quality trailer manufacturing and now we have come full circle into the brand history. At the recent IFA convention held in Frankfurt, Germany this past October, it was announced that Coachman and Forest River have signed an exclusive license agreement for distribution of Coachman brand products" Can someone help me with the story here? I know they make trailers but are they the ones that manufacture? I'm trying to confirm as much from their website, this is also on the Coachman website: "This website (The Coachman-Landing) is owned by The Forest River Corporation which is the largest manufacturer of travel trailers and fifth wheel trailers in North America. In addition to our wide variety of quality travel trailers, we now distribute Coachman branded fifth wheel trailers. Our new fifth wheel trailer division has recently opened in order to support the anticipated growth of this market."

I am not sure if that confirms they own the brand or not or what the deal really is. All the information I've seen is that FRC owns the trademarks & copyrights. And they only sell the trailers from FRC, no OEM factory builds.

As I said, I did not ask my dealer about any licensing agreements, or I can't remember whether he brought that up. Also, I'm just starting my research in the Coachman/Forest River world (I know they make motorhomes and small trailers) so I am trying to find some solid info about who owns what.

Doesn't matter either way. The dealers don't use OEM, they build them from scratch. So whether Forest River owns the Coachman brand or not doesn't change the relationship between the dealer and the owner of that brand. They are just two separate businesses sharing the same product line.

I checked out some of the links attached to your post and read more about what Forest River claims as part of the Coachman brand. The Coachman website states that the Coachman brand is licensed exclusively to the Forest River Corporation.

What are the common problems with Forest River RV?

Forest River RV Company is a pioneer in the production of Class C motorhomes. Their factory is located in North Carolina and has two lines of RV's, the Sportster and the Wildcat. Both are lightweight travel trailers, designed to give the traveler an easy time at their destination.

If you are interested in buying a Forest River Wildcat or Sportster, you may want to read our buying guide first. These guides include all the important information, like the model numbers and prices. In the buyer's guide, we have also included some important features of the RV and what we think are the best towable features. It is a 2026 model, so you will not get any upgrades and additions on this RV. However, it is a good choice for those looking for a lightweight travel trailer that provides them with a comfy and spacious interior.

What do you need to know about the Forest River RVC2045 Wildcat? Dimensions. Forest River offers four different widths of the Wildcat, depending on the model. The biggest width is 20 feet and the smallest width is 16.5 feet. There are two types of widths for the Wildcat and the biggest is the standard width and the smallest is the wide width. The standard width includes the following:

Is there any company that makes better quality RVs than others?

There are many good manufacturers of RVs. I've owned a few different brands over the years, including a fifth wheel (Taj Mahal) and a travel trailer (Nirvana), and all of them have been great.

If you want to compare brands, you can always use the Consumer Reports website to do a side-by-side comparison of the pros and cons of various brands. Consumer Reports also does a good comparison of the quality of various models from each manufacturer. But I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to make sure the model you buy is compatible with your needs and your budget. What kind of living space do you want? How much are you willing to spend on fuel? How much do you like camping, and how much do you like to cook?

Who makes Forest River RV?

Forest River RV is owned by Forest River, Inc., a Manitowoc, Wisconsin-based company. The company manufactures recreational vehicles and other towable products. The company has been in business since 1956.

Class B RVs are smaller than Class A RVs. Typically, they have a capacity of six to nine people.

Class C RVs are typically used for camping or vacations. They are often made of vinyl or plastic materials and have a capacity of two to four people.
