It's only been on sale for two days, and already the Volkswagen Golf R versus the Focus RS story is all over the internet. One of the first things to go viral were a set of comparisons between the two that showed the RS to be faster. And is it easier or harder to control? It's both. I think the main reason is that you get a lot more feedback because the tires have more mass than a light small car. The tires actually do a very good job of giving feedback. And that makes it easier to understand what's going on around the front.

So would you say that the car feels stable on high-speed circuits? That's always been a part of it. When I say the chassis feels stable, I'm talking about stability. This is a car that has plenty of rear grip, plenty of traction. It's a really, really good car for driving hard. And obviously that's one of the reasons why there are so many owners who enjoy drag racing their own cars. And these cars are no exception to that. They can get to 200 km/h.
