The Mk4 Focus is one of the great, fun, affordable cars from the era of the RS line, so its absence from the MkVII line up is a bit strange. Maybe something in the form of a hybrid with a turbo four?

I actually like that Focus has a lot of the current generation cars and is moving to a more efficient platform than previous gen. Also, it's not out-sized like some previous gen (like the STI) that are basically a different brand altogether.

I know many of you guys are talking about the new generation RS but I think it would be really nice to have another generation of RS as they were great cars. I'd still keep the RS though because it would be nice to have all the older models that were built and sold.

The new generation of RS doesn't really need any updates. All it needs is to get rid of the 4th gen body and to switch it to the current generation 5th gen body. They just need to change the rear, but really all they need to do is change the front and hood and all the new gen bodies would be exact copies of the new gen body.

Also, I wouldn't complain too much if the RS was the last car that they brought out because it would be a good chance for a final farewell to a legendary brand. If this was to happen.what would be the engine and transmission? A turbocharged 2.0T would be a perfect fit for a coupe. I can only imagine the fun that would be. I love the fact that the 5th gen has a similar engine, but I can't imagine it with such performance.

A 6 speed manual is the best choice though. I don't want an automatic.

Focus is not moving to a more efficient platform. The chassis will be completely unchanged. That said, there are going to be no changes made to the next gen platform. There's no way they're going to change it. And, they won't even be introducing any updates for the previous generation.

With the optional system you get all the comfort options included plus a reversing camera, heated front and rear seats, a key fob, an amplifier, a USB-stick and two different colors. So if you're a fan of technology, this option is a nice and economical addition.

In conclusion, this new generation can be easily seen as a replacement for the previous models. It's so much better compared to what it was before.

According to this site, the next Focus will be a Mk4. Is it true? As well as the new Focus being a Mk4, I think that it's going to be a very successful car. It's got the right looks, the right stance, the right engine, the right steering, and the right handling. They can keep on with the silly name of "Focus" if they want to, but I prefer to call it "Gran Turismo".

We know they've got the 1.0-litre turbo diesel engine, we know they've got some sort of hybrid system, we know they've got some sort of mild hybrid system, and yet they're calling it a 1.0-litre petrol engine.

The first generation Ford Fusion was a wonderful car, but they killed it. The second generation Ford Fusion was a good car, but they killed it. There is nothing wrong with the styling of the MK4 Focus. It's just that it doesn't stand out from the crowd. In fact, if you go back to the original Eunos design, the MK2 looked better than the MK3.

The MK4 Focus has a lot of similarities to the Mondeo, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's a big family car that's meant to suit families, so it should look like a family car.

I think the new 1.0-litre diesels from Volvo are going to be very, very good. I'm sure they'll be competitive, and they should do well in the UK.

Is it a MK2 MK3? Why MK2 MK3 if its the same chassis as the Mk4 Focus (except the grille and bumpers) It looks like a MK1 mk3 to me. It would be great if you could get in more information on a car that has been discontinued. Please post more detail about the engine, the power ratings for both petrol and diesel engines, and also about the transmission, interior and exterior details. Thank you!
Why MK2 MK3 if its the same chassis as the Mk4 Focus (except the grille and bumpers) It looks like a MK1 mk3 to me. MK3 is based on second generation mk1 mk2 mk3 car so, I don't know any year of mk1 mk2 mk3. And now there is mk4 focus in the scene. The mk4 are different from mk3 not only on front grill and bumper. Are similar to mk3 except from 1 litre 4x4. There is another reason make mk2 mk3 mk4 mk5 mk6 and now mk4 I will wait because the car will never come. I hope it isn't a mk1 mk2 mk3 mk4 because it look different mk3 from others, and a mk1 mk2 mk3 mk4 mk5 mk6 mk7 mk8 etc., can't change this kind of thing.
