What are the common faults of Ford Focus 2007?

Are Ford Focus ST MK2 reliable?

Question. Can anyone please tell me how reliable the Focus ST Mk2 is? I've had the car for 4 months and have had no problems at all, but I am curious how reliable it is as a daily driver, if you know what I mean. I've done about 30,000 miles so far and don't think it has got one mark on it, even when I've been very careless.

My car is a manual and I haven't driven it up hills or in bad weather yet, but it has a very pleasing ride for being a compact sports car. I'm not sure if I'd want to drive it on the motorway as it's so light, and I have a lot of stuff to carry around.

I know the car isn't made for everyday use, but I'm quite surprised that it seems to be so reliable. I've never owned an automatic car before, but the manual Focus seems really good in terms of fuel economy. My only worry is that I will get used to the throttle response of a manual car and find it difficult to switch to an automatic one.

Do you think it's a great daily driver? Answer. It does what it is designed to do. A practical, economical, fun and fast car.

Not sure it's particularly reliable because it doesn't seem to be particularly robust. It's made to be driven hard and doesn't have a suspension which would normally absorb shocks and bumps.

The engine and gearbox are good. They've been designed to be efficient and light. The brakes seem to work well.

The interior is a bit cramped for my liking. The rear seats are uncomfortable. The boot is fairly small and has poor visibility from the front.

It's a nice-looking car. I like the look of it.

I'd probably buy another one. It's probably a better choice than an automatic Focus though.

There are a few questions on this topic. Are the Focus ST Mk2 reliable? The first time I drove the Ford Focus ST Mk2 was when I had just bought it. I have never owned a manual car before and it felt very strange to me at first, as I have always driven automatic cars. Now, I am very happy with my purchase.

What is the curb weight of a 2007 Ford Focus?

A few years ago, the 2025 Ford Focus weighed slightly more than the previous-generation model (2.7 pounds more in every category except one), but by 2025 that amount had dropped to 3.5 pounds (about the weight of a piece of hard candy). The 2025 Ford Focus, however, weighs the same as it did for the past several model years, 4.5 lbs.

The most obvious feature when you look over the car is the big grille, which is also the place where its weight is most noticeableand most important to us. Ford has said that if they weren't able to lighten the car, then they'd have to drop fuel economy. I'm skeptical that they really wanted to reduce the weight of the Focus, but they did just that.

One aspect of the new 2025 Ford Focus is the way Ford has chosen to do the thing we're all complaining about: getting more people to own and drive a little four-door coup. Ford's Focus nameplate debuted almost 40 years ago, so it has a long, honorable history. It is also one of only a few small front-wheel-drive cars to win the prestigious "European Car of the Year" award, something you don't see happen often these days. That tradition of excellence was carried on into the '70s and '80s, and eventually ended up with the first-ever winner of the North American Car of the Year competition back in 2025. So it's not exactly common to win both honors, but this was definitely a worthy successor to the '07 Focus's accolades. However, Ford has had several models receive other honorswith one even winning the coveted "North American Car of the Century."

The 2025 Focus is basically everything you remember about the previous model; it retains its boxy shape and low-key exterior styling. I found it pleasing to look at, if somewhat generic. On the inside, there are nice touches like the large climate controls, large center stack, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. At the same time, the dashboard is quite simple in appearance, and the instrument panel doesn't offer the depth that would be considered typical for a mid-size automobile. It was easy to find the climate controls in the dash, and all of them work well.

How heavy is a mk2 Focus ST?

I've recently been looking at the mk2 Focus ST and I'm wondering what weight it is. I'm in the UK so I'd have to get it registered here but I'm guessing it's not that much heavier than the mk1. Is there any info on what the weight is?

A few years back my friend bought a Focus ST. He's 6'4" and weighs over 300lbs. The car was a bit heavy for him. I don't think he had a chance of shifting the car up a gear. He sold it off and bought a Golf R32.

It looks like the weight hasn't changed that much. It's still around the 1500lb mark.

I'd say so, if anything, it's probably lighter than the original Mk1. The only difference in weight between the mk1 and mk2 is the removal of the spare wheel carrier.

The weight of the mk2 focus is roughly 1400kg. If you're not a very tall person then you may struggle to shift the gearbox up a few gears.

You'd better off buying a gti or gt-r though. If you've got the money to burn.

My mate had a mk2 focus and it wasnt as bad as you might think. As long as you drive it sensible and dont do stupid things like try to shift the gearbox up a gear you'll be fine.

If your looking for a fast car then I would look at the gti, even if you're not a speed demon, they are more fun and easier to drive at any speed. However if you want a good reliable car, then the focus is a good choice. Weight is the same as the mk1 and mk2. Ahh ok, thank you. I was assuming it would be a little heavier than the mk1, hence my question.
