When I picked it up they said that it was in the late '80's, they told me they could not tell if it was a mk1 or a mk4. The MK is a vehicle that, like the Focus, is all about driving pleasure. It's a compact, front-wheel-drive coupe designed to offer a more dynamic driving experience than its predecessor, while maintaining the focus on fuel efficiency and fun driving.

We recently took an MK3 Roadster for a test drive, and it was an absolute blast. The car we tested was loaded with plenty of amenities and a well-appointed interior. In fact, it had the same list of standard features found in higher-end sedans from Honda, Acura and even BMW.

It comes equipped with a standard 6.0-inch display on the center console that could be used for climate control, audio or navigation, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (not yet available in this configuration) coming as options at a later date.

The MK features a choice of three engine options: a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four that puts out 184 hp, a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine with 240 hp or the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6, which produces 305 hp.

When it comes to performance, the MK is zippy. It hits 60 mph in just under seven seconds and goes through the quarter-mile in 14.4 seconds at 108 mph. But just when we thought the MK was fast enough, Honda decided to throw some turbo magic in there as well.

In standard mode, the MK's 1.5-liter turbo puts out 180 lb-ft of torque, more than enough to get it up to speed and to keep you going. On the race track, that power is felt, with the MK being the quickest vehicle we tested, even beating the 2026 Civic Si.

You'll be able to adjust the MK's transmission, too, with the choice of five modes, including "Eco," "Comfort," "Sport" and "MPG." It should be noted that in certain situations, the transmission can only operate in the "Comfort" mode if it's raining. It also has a launch-control function called Launch Control, which will help you get a more consistent launch while also cutting back on the turbo's lag.

If you've been looking for a vehicle that offers the drive quality of a sports car but with a more everyday driving experience, the new MK may be for you.
