Is a Freightliner M2 a good truck?

Is a Freightliner M2 a good truck?

How much horsepower does a Freightliner M2 have?

What's in a Freightliner M2? The M2 is the cabover version of the CX and the CX is the cabover version of the FLD. The M2 has the Cummins ISM diesel engine, the 4L80E. The CX has the 6.7L turbo diesel engine, the W12.

The FLD has the V8 diesel engine, the V8QJ. So a FLD has more hp than an M2, but the M2 has more torque. The M2 has a 6 speed Allison Transmission, while the CX and FLD have a 10 speed Aisin Gearbox. The M2 has a BnR Suspension, the CX and FLD have a BnS Suspension. The CX and FLD have a hydraulic front Steer, the M2 has a Mechanical Steer. The M2 has an Auxiliary heater, the CX and FLD have an Electronic Heater. The M2 has an AM/FM Stereo with 8 speakers, the CX and FLD have a 7 speaker AM/FM Stereo. The M2 has a CD Player, the CX and FLD have a DVD Player. So if you're not going to look for some sort of huge differences between the models, you're going to be hard pressed to notice any at all. What is the difference between the M2 and CX/FLD cabover? The main difference is the cabover, which is a more rounded (in terms of cab design) and better looking cab than the flatbed cab. You can get a good look at the cab design differences here: How many HP does a CX have? The CX has an estimated 350HP. The cabover FLD has an estimated 450HP.

What Cummins engine is in a Freightliner M2?

If you are considering a Freightliner M2, then you should know that it uses a Cummins ISL 8.9 engine. This engine produces about 500 HP and the power comes from a diesel fuel. Therefore, if you are planning to buy a Freightliner M2, then you should know that it will be great to get one which is in good condition as this will not only make your driving experience great but also increase its mileage rate.

A Cummins is a diesel engine. It comes in two types such as the common type, which is commonly known as the common engine. The common engine is powered by diesel fuel. This engine is usually very powerful. Therefore, it is also very reliable. It does not have an automatic transmission system. It has three main cylinders that consist of four pistons each. The pistons are positioned on the same sides of the engine. However, they are not attached to each other. The common engine is also very loud and vibrates a lot when it is driving.

The second type of Cummins engine is known as the turbocharged engine. This engine comes with a turbocharger which is placed above the air pump and a set of fans. The fans blow the air inside the turbocharger. This is essential because it allows more air to come in. There are also two main cylinders in the turbocharged engine. The pistons in the turbocharged engine move out of the cylinders so that more air comes into the engine. The turbocharged engine is usually quiet. It is also great for those who want to be more comfortable when they drive the truck. It also improves the mileage rate, too.

A Freightliner M2 comes with two turbocharged engines. They are known as the 6-cylinder engine and the 8.9-liter engine. This engine produces about 460 HP. It has six main cylinders that consist of three piston each. This means that the engine has eighteen cylinders. Each cylinder is surrounded by oil and coolant. When it is running, the engine will create a lot of noise. The engine has two exhaust pipes. One pipe is on the left side of the engine. The other is on the right side. Therefore, the engine can be said to have six main ports.

There are also four turbochargers in the engine. The turbochargers are known to have a compressor which produces high-pressure air.

freightliner m2 specs 2007 Is a Freightliner M2 a good truck?

Is this the best, most advanced full-size pickup yet? We drive one. It was the late 1950s, and our family just moved into a new house, and with our three kids ranging in age from 6 to 9, we needed a big truck to haul our belongings all over town. In our part of Northern California, we were at the end of the line; there were still plenty of two-ton pickups available, but none of them looked like the Freightliner M2. My dad told us he used a '59 Model 100 cab when he sold his big old two-ton and got a brand-new Ford F250 with the four-wheel drive option.

That truck got a good bit of use, and my dad never stopped using it, though the family eventually grew to the point that he needed more than one vehicle for hauling things. (It was also the only truck he owned.) When I was growing up, he kept it out on the farm, where it did everything from hauling hay bales and pulling the big combine to carrying firewood to the stove. Back then, the F-250 had a 2/4-ton engine; by the time I bought my first truck, the six-cylinder was history.

I was always curious about the legendary trucks my dad drove, and eventually, I was fortunate enough to buy a 1972 truck that looked exactly like my dad's last one. We kept that truck for about 15 years, doing everything from hunting and fishing to driving it through small villages. We called it the Freightliner, of course, but my wife eventually figured out how to call it "the tractor," and that stuck. When we sold the truck, I was sorry to let it go.

When went looking for a new truck this year, we started calling on the dealers to see if they had anything new. We visited four, and though they all had Freightliner nameplates, they didn't all have that look. I decided that one of the key things we needed was a Freightliner dealer in Wisconsin, the only place in America where Freightliners are made.

A few months later, I received an e-mail from a representative of Freightliner Trucks, a division of the Navistar unit that manufactures the M2.

What Mercedes engine is in Freightliner M2?

Hi all. I have been given the task of replacing an old and worn engine in my Freightliner M2. The engine is a '65 model and according to the owner it has 100,000 miles on it.

The question I have is, is the engine a Mercedes M10 or a Cummins? Cheers. Randy. Advertisement. I don't know for sure. I was told it is an M10 by the salesman at the dealer. My best guess is that it is a Mercedes, but I'm not sure. The guy at the shop was a diesel mechanic, and when I was trying to look up specs for the engine on my own he advised me to give it a call to find out for sure.

So as to not delay posting a reply, I just thought I'd ask if anyone here knows if the engine is likely to be a Mercedes or a Cummins. My gut reaction is to say it is a Mercedes, but I am not certain. It could also be a Cummins.

If anyone else would like to chime in on this post, you're welcome to do so. Yes, the engine is a Mercedes M10. If I recall correctly, I had it in there recently (2 days ago) and after about 2 minutes into driving the car with the new engine installed, I was able to hear and feel the difference between the old and new Mercedes engine. And yes, I could drive the vehicle with the new engine for about 15-20 miles and not have any issues at all.

It sounds like you are going to be doing quite a bit of work on your engine when you remove it. That will require either a complete disassembly of the engine or a series of engine swaps.

There are many posts in the FAQ section of this forum regarding how to dismantle an engine. I recommend getting a book on how to remove an engine from a vehicle and spend some time reading those posts. You can get one at Amazon and/or used book stores. I've been keeping a list of books in a folder titled 'Books' in my dropbox. There is a lot of stuff in that folder.

The book I recommend is titled 'How to Dismantle and Install An Engine Without Harming It'. ISBN 0-9730205-8-0.
