The Freightliner Cascadia is a medium-duty truck available in three models with the most popular being the XL, which is the basic model. It is available in a two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configuration and is powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder engine. We'll be doing testing at specific times of the year based on our own schedule. There's no way of knowing when we'll be testing outside of our schedules. We can also schedule our testing to simulate conditions like winter or summer, daytime or nighttime, and day or night.

Not only does the Freightliner Cascadia hold a Class-3 mpg rating, but it also gets great city mileage ratings of 25.7 mpg and 19.1 mpg for highway miles. To compare it to a current production truck we look at the Ford F-150 SuperCrew. The Cascadia gives you a better MPG rating, higher towing capacity and a larger payload. That means that you can pull up to 1,200 pounds in the Cascadia while pulling only 800 pounds with the SuperCrew.
The Cascadia is built on a longer wheelbase than the SuperCrew. The wheelbase is 8 inches longer in the Cascadia than in the SuperCrew. The Cascadia has a longer track and a wider track. This adds to the wheelbase and width. Combined these changes have increased the towing capacity of the Cascadia to more than 16,000 pounds. Now that is more than a single semi pulling freight for your company.
The Freightliner Cascadia has a more aerodynamic hood and front end. At the back the tailgate is slightly longer on the Freightliner Cascadia. The overall look is much different than the SuperCrew. The Cascadia has a longer nose and slightly longer rear end.
The Freightliner Cascadia is an all-new truck and is a little larger than the F-150. The Freightliner Cascadia is 6 inches longer, 3.9 inches wider, has a 4 inch wheelbase increase and a 2.4 inch lift compared to the F-150 SuperCrew.
