Kia pass half a million UK sales
Kia first appeared in the UK car marketplace back in 1991, where their only offering was the Kia Pride, proving popular for the firm until mid-2000. Jumping back to the present day, and it's sales figures for May 2013 were it's highest ever, with the firm achieving more prosperity in the UK than ever before. Their current share of the marketplace is at 3.21%, managing to hold their own well against the giants like Ford and Vauxhall.
Indeed, Kia's current sales this year has surpassed it's total sales for 2008, with over 30,400 cars being sold since the start of the year. This shows tremendous growth for the firm, and evidence of being favoured by the UK motorist.
Kia bestowed their gifts of a free service plan, bottle of champers, flowers, £150 voucher and certificate to the lucky 500,000th car buyers, Mr and Mrs Pollard of Leicester. The gifts and car were given over at their Sandicliffe dealership in Leicester.
