The current Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan is the most fuel-efficient, smallest model in Mercedes' lineup, but it's far from being a hatchback. For example, the price of entry-level trim, a diesel model equipped with the nine-speed S-tronic and a seven-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity comes with standard items like a seven-speaker premium audio system with Bang & Olufsen, and 15-inch aluminum wheels, a two-zone auto-dimming front windshield, power-operated tailgate and automatic high-beam lighting. But you can spend more than that if you want.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system, as well as leather seats with the Driver Assistance Package that includes auto emergency braking.

The standard content is much higher across the line, as well. Every A-Class has air conditioning, automatic climate control, and satellite navigation that links to Mercedes' navigation system and your phone.

After all the bad reviews I'm not interested in a A-Class at all. I just read all those posts and saw almost 10 times (no matter which brand) of: ".so you have to buy BMW because it's cheaper."
Even with the price from BMW it is just as expensive. It feels like every company has an incentive to say "You have to buy BMW because we can sell you 2x the cars as cheaper".

What would be a good alternative for me? What are your thoughts about my thoughts? Re: A-Class hatchback discontinued? My friend bought an X3 a few months ago. I was very impressed. But after driving an A5 E46, the new Audi is quite similar.

What should I choose? Thanks for reading. In my opinion you don't have to go to Audi to get an x3. With its engine output it is also capable of handling the demands of daily use. Besides the fact that the interior space is a bit on the small side.

I love the X3. It's a very comfortable car and handles well. Plus, I like it as well as I do my M3. The only reason I don't like it as much as the 335i is because the interior isn't as sporty looking.

If you already have a test drive set up for it, don't worry. If you aren't then you should really visit a dealership and try out a good variety of the X3's before picking yours.

It is a lot lighter and much smaller than the BMW X3. There's no other way around it, if you want a car that you can fit in your garage, one which isn't too big and heavy, then the X3 fits the bill.

No offense but you should know before you start criticizing something, it already passed my test with flying colors and is one of my favorite cars of this generation.
