How many miles per gallon does a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution get?
The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that a fuel economy of 10 mpg in the city and 16 mpg on the highway is achievable in full-size pick-up trucks. You'll find three trim levels to pick from when you research this heavy-duty truck model - CrewMax, Limited and Longhorn. These trucks all feature heavy duty engines which are built by the Daimler-Benz diesel engine manufacturer. That's why these engines are known to provide more power and torque than many other similar makes.
How do you know how far this Freightliner Cascadia Evolution will go on a tank of gas? All it takes to measure your vehicle's performance is a fuel economy gauge. It measures just about everything, but the efficiency it records won't lie. That means that you can expect great performance from this heavy duty pickup truck. Just know that it isn't as fuel efficient as some other trucks in its class.
Get the right tools. An accurate gas pedal gauge can be very helpful when working with an SUV. That means that using a high quality gas meter for a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution is a necessity.

What is the difference between a Freightliner Cascadia and a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution?
Is the Evolution a better value than the Cascadia? In the last month, Freightliner has sent out its two most popular trucks to their latest generation, with a new body style and improved mechanicals, but which is a better buy, the Freightliner Cascadia or the Freightliner Cascadia Evolution? We are going to tell you all you need to know about these two popular diesel trucks, right down to which you should get and why.
Both the Cascadia and the Cascadia Evolution offer three cab lengths, six wheelbases and four drivetrain options. However, the biggest selling point of these trucks is their power and torque. These are some of the most powerful trucks on the market today, with a maximum torque output of 2,800 lb-ft and a peak horsepower rating of 1,600. Freightliners always give their engines more power than other manufactures, which is why we gave them an 8.5/10 rating in terms of power.
When it comes to the Cascadia and the Cascadia Evolution, what makes them stand out? Cascadia is the most basic Cascadia truck. The Cascadia offers three cab lengths, four wheelbases, four drivetrains and one fuel tank. The Cascadia comes in either 12- or 13-foot-cab lengths and three wheelbases: a 12-foot-cab length short-box (SD), a 12-foot-cab length long-box (LD) and a 13-foot-cab length full-width box (WD).
Freightliner has made some changes to the Cascadia in the Evolution form, but they are only cosmetic. The Cascadia and the Cascadia Evolution have the same engine, steering and brakes, so they should be equal in value.
How much horsepower does a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution have?
I doubt you will find this information from the website because it would not make any sense, it would have to be something that they don't want you to know. The engine is not available for sale for the current model year.
We tried to find out by contacting Freightliner customer support. Their representative informed us that the Cascadia Evolution (2009 - 2013) has a "tire pulling" rating of about 7,500 pounds, meaning 7500 pounds is the recommended max tire load for this truck. That's not much to carry in addition to a loaded trailer.
That's the reason they didn't publish the horsepower rating of the Cascadia Evolution on their website and probably they don't want people to know it.

According to the manufacturers' website, the fuel mileage of a fully loaded '09 Cascadia Evolution is 25 mpg city, 35 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. I had a 2026 Cascadia, and it was a good truck. I had no problems with it whatsoever. I would suggest that you check your local classified ads to see if you can find anything available. Also, try the classifieds in the other major markets like Chicago, Houston, etc.
