How much torque does a 5.7 HEMI have?

How much torque does a 5.7 HEMI have?

How much HP does a 5.7 HEMI Ram 1500 have?

They are different based on year/model, and if you wanted to be more precise; the HEMI V8 was introduced as a production vehicle on April 17, 2024 and all 2024 5.7 HEMI motors would share the same cubic inches, horsepower rating, etc. As well as having a dual exhaust system that is an aftermarket add-on and not original equipment. On 2024 models they changed the cubic inch displacement to 568, but also changed the engine management computer chip to better with the 5.7 HEMI, it also had a slight HP increase of 25.

The power ratings are measured at the flywheel in the factory at 60RPM of engine timing. In the past it is very hard to determine actual horsepower, but using the cubic inch displacement or the compression ratio for the same car should come close enough, and is probably as accurate as I know how to do without having tested everything from the factory.

How much torque does a 5.7 HEMI have?

I'm wondering about the "5.7" HEMI being in front of "Cylinder Engine" being listed on these models, and what engine exactly is in a 5.7 HEMI. This is because I am building a 1972 Mach 1 that has the Hemi under the hood, but on a stock 454 V8 engine with the original carb. Will the engine bolt in or do I need to use any other parts?

The Hemi engine requires an extra set of bolts and hardware, it can be very difficult to pull back into position once it has been installed. It needs a little extra attention during assembly. If the car has no previous Hemi installs, then some may be available for parts.

If you are looking to build a mach 1 using a late model (Hemi and otherwise) engine, you may want to get your maching started now and leave enough time for a custom builder to start the project. Otherwise you may have to wait months and months to complete the project.

It's a great car, one of the first ones built for the hobby and many have changed the way Machs are built by introducing many changes over the years. It is a highly custom, high-end, expensive vehicle to build, much like building a muscle car. Even if you build it yourself, you'll pay for its time on the assembly line.

I think you have the right idea. The parts to build a mach 1 would be rather substantial, even if just for the engine. To put things in perspective, the mach 1 motor has over 400 hp, a 6 speed transmission with a 1,500 stall converter, plus the various brackets, oil pans, fuel lines, steering columns, brakes, drive shafts, etc. You might as well buy a race car off of the track as build a mach 1.

Just make sure when selecting a part you use the appropriate one that is recommended. Not too big and not too small, as the small ones will wear away, as will the big one.

Like, what size cam do you have? What valves or springs, and what oil you using?

And how big are your valves? Does the factory use XM or M2 type on your engine? I need a cam for my '07 HEMI with a 4.3-inch bore, valve-train is Comp Cams, I think the valve-stem has a slightly larger diameter that M2. I've seen a lot of videos with these engines with a variety of cams - is that necessary? Should I look into an HPC cam with a bigger lobe-landing area or a street cam with more lift. I already own the intake manifold from a '08 HEMI 5.7 to get the correct port-angles.

Are the headers straight-through or side mounted? Also, how much clearance between the exhaust and injectors? I didn't like that my EFI system wasn't designed specifically for this engine, it has a hard time regulating its timing. What year (if you have a VIN # that helps) does your truck came out, and how big is the displacement of your 5.7 (does it say)? Like: 250 (that's a low number). Inline 6-cylinder? 4/5-Cam?

What is a 5.7 L Hemi V8 engine with eTorque?

I have a 2024 ford F150 Lariat with an original 4.6L V8 engine and it currently has 150,000 miles on it and is very dependable. It does make a very nice exhaust note. I love to hear the revs grow as I hit the gas down town. My neighbors would look twice in envy! It has plenty of power to get me where I need to go. I have taken many drives around town. I am planning on running this engine in my new 2024 FORD F150 with 6 speeds. If I go with an automatic I would change it out when the time comes. All the mechanical parts still work, the oil level works, fuel filter flushes work. The only thing that is no longer working is the glow plug wiring and plugs no longer light up. Any ideas on how to get that going again? Or am I better off just staying with what I have?
My neighbors ask me all the time if the car runs or does it just sputter. I explain to them that it will sputter but not quit. But I do like to be able to shift at times so I don't think I will be moving with the automatic any time soon. I am planning on keeping the 4 speed as soon as I get into the F150 5-10 years from now.

So what do I want to do with this engine? I would still run it with a 5.7 Hemi since it will outlast the truck but now can easily keep up with my truck with out hurting it. I have driven with all kinds of different vehicles over the years. I have owned and had a lot of small cars and SUVs and love having the big engine.

I have considered pulling it out of the truck for a while but it is more money than I have. I may just want to keep it till I am ready to pull the plug on it. Is it worth selling it to put in a 5. Or would a donor motor work well? There are so many possibilities with this truck. Do you think I will regret my decision once I have to replace the engine? What options are left once I drop the engine out? Should I leave it in there or pull it out. All my questions and opinions welcomed. THANKS, Mike in NY.
