Although their cars have always been badged as Mazda the company wasn't called that until 1984, prior to this it's name was Toyo Cork Kogyo Co.

As with many other Japanese car makers Mazda have a reputation for good customer service and reliability of their cars. Today 80% of their cars are still made in Japan with the rest being built in various places around the world.
