I'm not looking to buy a brand new Ram, but I'm looking for an all-electric option that is not only more economical but also has a higher-level of refinement and performance. Does anyone know what powertrain is offered in the all-electric variant of the Ram 3500?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm having a hard time deciding between the two models: the 3500 with an 8-speed automatic transmission (ABS) and the 3500 with the all-electric transmission. The 8-speed version is the one that comes to my mind first, but I've always liked the all-electric transmission and have seen some video reviews of it online.

So far, I haven't heard of any Ram 3500s with an all-electric transmission. Thank you for your responses. I was hoping that the Ram 3500 would have a hybrid system because I don't like the all-electric transmission. I don't know what the price is for the all-electric version.

My friend owns a Ram 3500 and he loves it. He loves the all electric transmission. It's so smooth and quiet. He says it gets better gas mileage than a hybrid truck. If you want to save money, I'd suggest the all electric.

I personally have not seen any Ram 3500 with an all electric transmission. I do know that a few Ram 3500s do have a hybrid system, but not many. If you really want to save money, you should look into the diesel version of the Ram 3500.

I would personally recommend the all electric over the hybrid. It's just a smoother vehicle. Plus it has less moving parts. I don't see why you would want a hybrid over all electric when it comes to performance and luxury.

What does rev mean on Ram?

I have a 2024 Jeep Cherokee, 5.2L V8. I replaced the intake, camshaft, valve cover, water pump, etc and it's running really good. The problem is that my ram air doesn't rev to the rated torque like it used to, like say, an automatic.so my question is, does the ram still rev at 5000 rpm? I know it's not suppose to, but how can I tell if it is?

Sorry about the confusion. But your thinking right. Its the pressure in your tires that makes you think its revving high, even though the engine may be idling at 4500 rpm or low at 3000 rpm.

If your thinking about a car that's revving at 5500 rpm. Its probably not going to be as revving as it was originally. This is why it will take some time for your tires to heat up.

If you want to know if the engine is revving, try this. If your car has a speedometer, try going straight and then pull out into the light, put the car in neutral and rev your engine. If your RPM's are over 4000, then your car is running with "revving". If they are below 4000, you're good to go.

I'm not sure what you mean by the term "rated torque" and "rated power", but I would be suprised if the engine could ever make 3000 HP, even though its making 4,500RPM in a 2-wheel drive Cherokee.
