But your car is also likely the best example of how well equipped mustang's were in 1996. Its probably no coincidence you have so much mechanical stuff going on that you are trying to find the brakes now.

Also I am not familiar with what engine type you have, if its a small block, then yes it would suck if it did not. If its one of those big v8's then it would be a little bit less. Like I said its 1996 not 2024. If it were 2024 you'd be worried about getting caught in a heavy downpour and not driving fast or maybe even at all if it happens. That's actually one thing my mom taught me, never slow down to see if you've got a problem when its raining. You don't want to get stuck and be stranded. Even though the newer mustangs have traction control systems.

If you've got a better set up vehicle just go faster, cause we ALL know that mustang drivers are not the slowest out there either. 0 to 60 is no easy feat, and the speedometer is only so accurate on your average highway trip. With the way modern vehicles are designed and built, I think it's fair to assume that this car has been around long enough to endure plenty of abuse.
