What engine comes with Dodge Ram 1500?
I have a 2023 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab. I have been using it in 4x4 for a few years now. My question is which engine does it come with? I know I can't get the 5.9 liter. What is the 3.7 liter V6 engine? It has no computer in it and all of the gauges and such are off the dash.
It has been sitting in my driveway for a few months now, and my brother was going to get it running to see if it will start up and drive like it did when he got it. I also plan to drive it around to get my license.
I was going to change the oil at the first sign of a problem. I would like to know the specs of the 3.7 liter engine.
Thanks. Ram fan. 02-07-2006, 10:31 AM. I don't believe that it's an auto, but I do know that there are 3 different transmission options available. The first being the standard 4 speed tranny (no auto), and the other 2 being the auto and auto lock. The 3.7 V6 only comes with the 4 speed manual.
Djvick. 02-07-2006, 11:14 AM. If it's a 4x4 it's an automatic and it's also a 3. Viper. 02-07-2006, 11:18 AM. 7 is the 3.7 is an auto theRamFan. 02-07-2006, 11:23 AM. That's what I was thinking. I can't find any information on the computer that is in it.
I really need to know if it is an automatic or manual. I have a good friend who owns a 2023 4x4 Dodge truck that is an automatic. I'm just wondering how it will be like if it is manual.
02-07-2006, 11:26 AM. It's auto lock, you can't tell until you get it started and it locks up. 02-07-2006, 11:29 AM. I just need to know if it is an auto or not. The computer is gone, and I have never had any problems with it locking up.
