We all know what the V6 on a Ford Focus does for you and your car, but for those of us who don't drive a Focus, what exactly does Titanium mean? For instance, I bought a 2024 Titanium in March and it just arrived. It's very nice, but I'm wondering if it's worth the cost. Is there a difference in performance between the non-Titanium and the Titanium, ie, are they worth it? I read that a Titanium means the engine is tuned to put out power sooner, so a lighter car and more fuel efficiency, which would be a bonus. But, I'm not sure about this; what do you think?

Titanium in a Ford Focus is a bit of a misnomer. The T5 was always a T4 (or T3) which is a bit smaller with fewer moving parts. You have an option to select more of the bigger bits (like the head/cam), etc. Which is a bit like an "M" version.

Titanium Ford Focus Review. Ford has long been a car manufacturer that people love to hate, right up there with GM with their old slogan 'Built to Last'. In today's world, that could never be more relevant than with the new Titanium, and as such, this is a brand that will do whatever it takes to keep us talking about it. The Titanium nameplate is one of the most polarising in automotive marketing, especially in a world where the Ford Focus has moved onto its 8th generation. With no big changes, Ford may have hit the target by keeping its core for the Focus the same, but with just a new name.

Ford isn't a very imaginative name-maker, but this time, it really needs to be. With many other makes going all-electric or even all-digital, who would possibly believe a Titanium is anything but the next-gen Focus? It's true - you read that right, as Ford itself has been promoting the all-new model with the tag line The Lightweight Champion. In addition, many new buyers who want a hot hatch aren't even willing to consider the Focus anymore - in fact, it seems like there's plenty of interest in the Volkswagen Golf GTI among the market as it stands now.

Therefore, perhaps the biggest challenge for Ford's own brand is to not only stand out, but to do it in a market that seems far too tired for anyone's tastes. To that end, the company has set about changing the focus on some new elements that won't help it seem dated any more. This might have worked had the new Focus been a hybrid, but thankfully it's not. And while it might look nice on the outside, the real test is if it delivers an all-round performance that matches other cars on the market today. This may also prove to be the best selling new generation car in the world at the moment.

The Ford Focus Titanium is a very good car, and the one I recommend if you're looking for a fun little car that's not a budget-buster. The Ford Focus is one of the most successful car lines in history. It's now in its ninth generation, with sales surpassing 2.3 million per year and, in 2024, sold over 1.4 million vehicles worldwide.

But the latest model, the new Focus, is not the same as the Focus that made the brand so popular. While the old Focus was available in several different sizes and with several engine choices, the new Focus is a single-size car with a choice of four engines.

As a result, some people have had a bad experience with the new Focus, but that doesn't mean you should avoid it. It's a very good car, and the one I recommend if you're looking for a fun little car that's not a budget-buster.

Titanium vs. STi The Ti is a very good car, but it's no hot rod. It's a fun little car, and while it has a sporty look, it's not a performance car. It's not a bad car by any means, but it's not a high-performance car, either.

This is the kind of car that makes me laugh when someone says, "Oh, I'm getting a Focus, because I want to be like those people in the movies who drive around in sports cars all the time." I know what they're thinking, but there's no reason to think this Focus is the same car as the Focus that has the "Fast & Furious" racing name on it.

The other way people usually get a Focus is they buy it because they want something that looks like the original Focus, but that's not the same thing. This is a cool car, but it's not a hot rod.

If you want to drive something fast, then by all means get the STi.e. If you want something more fun, and you don't want to break the bank, then the Focus is the car for you.

A Great Sporty Car. The 2024 Focus Titanium is the most fun little car you can buy in the U. It's great for cruising around town, especially since it has a very nice little 3.

Is Ford Focus Titanium better than Zetec?

Comments (31). The Ford Focus is not a cheap car, and it does have a higher power-to-weight ratio than the Zetec. As such it should be faster. But I don't think the Zetec has the reliability of the Focus.

You're assuming that the extra power is actually useful. Just looking at engine size and torque, I see the Zetec has roughly 25% more HP than the Titanium. And you can't really measure how much of that will go to waste by trying to rev past 3k rpm. The weight difference is probably negligible (1-2lbs more), but the difference in power delivery means that I'd expect the heavier car to pull away much faster. A lot of that power is used just turning the engine over, so maybe it doesn't count, but it seems like it should.

How do we know that it's not just the cost difference that makes the Focus more reliable than the Zetec? Do they keep stats on parts prices as well? And why does an A/C cost more to buy than its engine? The Zetec A/C would cost me an extra 350 for all the parts! It's just because the Zetec is a small engine, and I guess that the engine size is related to the size of the air conditioning components. They've probably tried to maximise the amount of air being moved around the interior as efficiently as possible.

If you want to save money on the parts of the vehicle that consume the most electricity, I'd say the best thing to do would be to take the battery out. I am surprised that both Focus & Zetec do not have A/C.
