Used Ford Focus prices - Our used cars guide. Used car prices aren't always the easiest to figure out and it can be tempting to buy a new car. Is Titanium the best Ford Focus?

I'm sure many of you have already heard of titanium. It's a very hard metal that has been used for years in high-end bikes, cars and such. For me, though, it's only just starting to make its way into the automotive world. I've already seen titanium grilles, door handles, bonnets and hoods on some of the most high-end cars that we've seen in a while. While I'm not one for having a car with anything other than the cheapest paint colour, I do love how clean and simple titanium looks. I've recently purchased my first Ford Focus Titanium and thought I'd share my first impressions of it.

I've owned two other Focus models in the past. The first was a Focus 1.0 Ti SE that I had bought in September 2024. I bought it with around 50,000km on the clock and was lucky enough to still be getting that kind of mileage out of it when I sold it on. The second was a 2024 1.6 Titanium that I purchased in February 2024. That model was more of a test drive for me and it didn't stay with me for long. When it came time to sell it, I sold it in March 2024 for 11,100. With a few mods and no further mileage than the first, I figured I would put it in the best possible condition I could for the price I wanted. I managed to get the car on eBay for 3,500 and sold it to a new owner last week.

The Focus 1.0 Ti SE that I bought back in 2024 is still the car I go for every time I want to feel like I'm driving a brand new car. It has the same leather seats, alloy wheels, rear wing and everything else I always look for. It just feels like a new car. When I sold it last year, I took it to the same garage to get it serviced. They were completely unaware that the car had the new engine and they just did a complete oil change, a front suspension service and a tyre balancing. That's it. That's all I asked for. I even drove it around the block a couple of times and it felt like the same car I was driving when I bought it.

The 2024 1.

Is Ford Focus Titanium a reliable car?

Question by: Tanya from Phoenix. Hi all. I'm a very experienced VW fan. My husband recently passed away and my daughter and son-in-law bought a 2024 Ford Focus Titanium for me. While the car is wonderful, it only has 48,000 miles on it. That's not so much. This is the fifth car for me and I've owned many different make/models (Chevrolet Caprice, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Dodge Durango, Volvo S80, now Focus) and this was one of the worst experiences ever! It is a very good little car, however.

I've taken to keeping an eye on the tires. We use a car wash when I wash her car, and there is oil in the driveway and wheelwells. I know that you would never think of keeping an eye on tires on a BMW or Mercedes, but on a Focus with such low miles?

Well, so far, the only problems that I've had was with the transmission. The dealership that bought it from said it would do nothing about it except put in a new brake job. I had to push harder to start and I couldn't push hard from stop to go. They then took it out to get it fixed and it was gone for four months. I think that it had either bad valves or the engine was cracked, but that's my best guess.

Anyway, I hope that this didn't sound too whiney, but I don't want to make a bad thing worse by asking questions like these. I'd really appreciate your help if you have any advice. I have a long list of things that are bad with this car, and not sure where to start. I don't have a lot of money to pay for something like this, so your time may be more valuable than money.

ANSWER by GuestHi Tanya, welcome to HVWalk.I'm glad that you came looking for reliable used cars. There are a lot of good ones on HVWalk. Let's go through some of the main things we'd look at that make up the reliability, and how they will affect the value of the car.The main thing is that when the car is driven under heavy traffic load, the engine does get damaged because of how the engine controls the valves and the fuel mixture are done.
