What is the titanium package for a Ford Focus?

What extras does a Ford Focus Titanium have?
Ford is getting ready to launch its Focus Titanium model in the UK. It will cost a mere 19,995 on the road - about 2,200 less than a Volkswagen Golf GTi, 3,000 less than a Fiat Abarth 500 and 3,500 less than a Fiat Abarth 600.
The difference is that the Focus Titanium will feature a 1.6-litre diesel engine that makes 120bhp and an estimated 250Nm of torque, which will deliver an official combined fuel consumption of 47mpg.
What does it mean? If you're looking for a little more power than the typical 1.4-litre petrol engine, there's a new 1.6-litre diesel engine coming with an even bigger engine block and two extra cylinders, along with a turbocharger.
It's good news for city drivers who would otherwise have to suffer from the lack of grunt from a 1.4-litre engine, and it means the Focus is well equipped for a journey in town and on the motorway, without being a pain to drive.
Is it safe? Ford is being very careful not to overstate the Focus's safety credentials. There's no electronic stability control, no airbags, no crash test ratings and no pedestrian-friendly features like lane-keeping assistance or automatic braking.
But there are standard features that help to make the Focus a safe car, including front, side and curtain airbags and active headlamps and wipers. The Focus also has electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) as standard, which helps to keep you safe in an emergency by reducing the risk of skidding.
Is it affordable? Not in every respect. The Ford Focus Titanium isn't as economical as the Abarth 500 or the Abarth 600, but it's still a good deal. The Focus is more economical than the VW Golf GTi and it's better than the Fiat Abarth 500.
Its claimed efficiency is 46.7mpg, although this is partly due to the extra weight of the Focus Titanium compared to the standard model, which means it has less power. We'll know more when we get to test the Focus Titanium for ourselves.
What is special about the Ford Focus Titanium?
In some ways it is a very boring car. It is very well-equipped, with all the standard goodies. It also has a more powerful engine than the normal Focus. But, it is not any kind of special vehicle.
That is why we think it is such a good value for money. The price is very competitive, and yet there are a lot of features that you would never normally get on a car this price. For example, there is a really nice leather steering wheel, which costs around 500 extra to buy.
The Ford Focus Titanium is available in three trim levels: S, SE and Titanium. All three come with the same engine. It is a 1.6 litre three-cylinder petrol engine.
There is a choice of either manual or automatic gearbox, and the maximum power is a healthy 100bhp. The front suspension uses MacPherson struts, and the rear suspension uses a torsion beam.
What you get with the Focus Titanium? There are plenty of equipment levels in the Ford Focus Titanium. The most basic trim, the S, costs 17,390 and is only available in black. It has a five-speed manual gearbox, 16in alloys, front and rear parking sensors, electric windows, cruise control and a CD player. It also comes with dual front airbags and anti-whiplash front head restraints.
The SE trim is 20,595. It has the same features as the S, but is available in silver or black. There is also a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
If you are willing to pay a bit more, you can get a Focus Titanium SE with everything fitted for 23,490. This has a leather interior, electric sunroof, rear parking sensors, and alloy wheels.
The most expensive trim, the Titanium, costs 26,945. It has the same engine as the SE, but is available in a choice of three colours. It also has a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
It is worth noting that the Focus Titanium is only available with a five-speed manual gearbox, but it can be a little noisy on the move. We like the look of the Titanium because it is really simple and clean.
What is the titanium package for a Ford Focus?

I was talking to a friend who uses one of those "titanium" packages, the thing made of titanium and aluminum for the Focus. In the back of his car is a "titanium" package (he calls it that) that I guess gives him better fuel economy.
I am curious what it actually is, and can someone with one explain how it's different from the one Ford sells at their dealership, if he would even know the difference? The packages are supposed to be good for the engine computer. But does it work as good on the Focus, or does it not make any noticeable difference on the Focus? Thanks. There is absolutely no benefit of installing this over the factory package. It may do the computer a favour, but only because it has to take up space in the engine bay - as you cannot take out the computer cover. This will only result in a reduction in CO2 emission, which will help the government hit targets, but does nothing in terms of performance.
That said, there is a tiny amount of money involved installing it. If you are running any kind of performance modification to the car that might make a difference to your overall car, then I think you might see some benefits as it is an aluminum package, designed to reduce weight. This would improve fuel economy.
But that is still the same old Focus that the Ford part-time sales executive that I had before my wife replaced him. Now it runs well, with no need to rebuild/remanufaite anything from what I remember. We only had it for three months. But we drove it from the car rental lot to California in the snow and it ran like a champ (better than before).
And so, all my life I will remember my first car: the blue, two-door, two-seat Ford Fairlane 500 that my parents gave me in the fall of 1955 as a reward for my completing a successful junior year in high school. It was brand new, with bright red decals, a black vinyl roof and black side glass. But the worst thing about that car was that it was always full of leaves and dog hair (which got rained on and glued to the windshield)
I wonder what the difference is, between "the titanium packages" and normal ones.
Is 2017 a good year for Ford Focus?
In the past month, the Ford Focus has undergone two major revisions. Firstly, the facelift brings a more upscale look and new cabin. Secondly, the 1.0 EcoBoost is now offered with either petrol or diesel engine. Is it a good year for Ford?
2017 Ford Focus. When the current model was released, it was one of the latest cars on the market. It was a car that had good sales potential due to its affordable price. The previous generation however received the dreaded 'dog leg' bump in the bumper which made the car hard to park. The design for the new generation of 2025 Focus however, feels quite luxurious as well as a step forward in the technology for this car. This should be the entry level model that most car buyers will go for, for their first car. It comes standard with air-conditioning, ABS brakes, power steering and cruise control. Inside, you get comfortable seats, a touchscreen display and plenty of storage space.
Under the bonnet of this car is a 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine that makes 100kW of power and 260Nm of torque. If you are interested in the diesel version, then this car will give you 134kW of power and 400Nm of torque. It also comes with an all-new 7-inch TFT digital dashboard screen.
It also comes with all-electric, all-wheel drive and stop/start technology, which are all fitted to the top of the range model. This version also offers more style with the optional 17-inch alloy wheels, and the driver information system. It even has an optional heated windscreen and heated rear seats.
One of the best things about the Focus is the space it has for its passengers. It has a load capacity of a whopping 3,060kg, which is roughly the same as a 2WD SUV. It has three door bins as well as three seats which offers space for your family or friends. The seats are so comfortable that they will make you want to squeeze your legs in. This means that the car can hold seven people with enough room for four adults or three children.
The other features of the car include; alloy pedals, side headrests, leather steering wheel, remote central locking system and dual zone climate control.
