What happened to Newmar and the recall? The company was hit with the Recall. It received the first of eight letters on July 29, 2025.

On July 30, the company received the second letter, notifying them that the Recall letter had been sent to a third-party provider who would communicate directly with owners of the recalled motorhomes. They should get information on what repairs needed to be made and how soon.

On August 4, the company received the third letter advising them that repair would begin shortly. On August 5, the company received the fourth letter, notifying them of the repair process. They must contact their dealer to schedule a time for a repair. If they cannot reach them, then the dealer will contact them.

On August 6, the company received the fifth letter, notifying them that the repair is now scheduled for September 15. On August 20, the company received the sixth letter, stating they are notifying owners of the first stage of repairs replacement of the pivot pin. On September 11, the company received the seventh letter, stating they were making additional replacements on the swing. On October 16, the company received the eighth letter, stating they are making additional replacements. There was an issue with two of the welded corners which didn't meet specifications, and were sold as new. Both affected boats were replaced with refurbished ones, repaired.

Let's have a look at the Newmar factory at discount outlet. It's amazing that it seems like a factory which makes motorhomes is in the same building as a discount outlet.

They say No one wants to be stuck in a motorhome park but, when it's all over you just want to turn it off. It's hard to judge the quality of Newmar motorhomes based on what is presented in their website. They are always showing the Newmar motorhome on a lake I am not sure why we do not see any pictures of their motorhomes being actually built. And I think it's only because we don't want to see their motorhomes. No wonder they call them Motorhomes to order

I'm sure the price of these motorhomes are not very cheap, and there's no information about the price.) Anyway, I would like to see the factory first and decide whether or not to buy their motorhome. At least that's how I deal with it. If they have a factory tour, it means there's an order window

And if there's an order window, then I don't mind trying to bargain with the factory. After all, it's only one of a million people who is trying to buy their motorhome.

I was invited to have a look at the factory yesterday, and I managed to have an appointment tour their factory yesterday. The Factory. The first thing I noticed is that the factory seems huge. Actually, it's not that big, but it seems too huge for one factory.

They seem to have a lot of buildings and areas for production. In this picture, you can see about 40 people working, maybe more. It's amazing how many people they have in the factory, and they keep on producing motorhomes day by day.

This is one of the first thing I saw, and I thought it's not even finished yet. I'm still confused.

Newmar is owned by Newmar Corporation, which also owns Dyson. So, the answer to that question is not that clear cut.

Is Newmar profitable? Newmar has a very strong balance sheet, and a very profitable operating performance, but the company as an entity only owns 4 or 5 brands that it produces (not counting all of its franchise owners), so Newmar has no brand marketing budget, and most of its profit comes from the performance of that franchise owners' locations and their employees' salaries and wages.
