This forum is for off-topic discussion about the Focus RS. I have a 2024 Focus RS. I ordered the turbo engine (VIN VZFRS01DE) from a tuner who had one in his shop. I was given a manual for the car and I am the only person to drive the car.

I do not know how to read a manual. I have been driving the car for a little over a month and I have done a lot of research on turbo engine tuning. What I want to know is how strong is this turbo engine? I can tell you from my experience, the car feels like it is a whole different car. My car has a very good powerband, but the acceleration feels like it is laggy at best.

I will try to explain my experience. I have done the following: I have changed the oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, air filter, spark plugs and distributor cap. Changed the engine timing to 9 degrees before top dead center. The car has a ZF 3.5 LSD, but it also has a ZF 5.2 LSD.
The car has a new front splitter, fender flares, and new rear spoiler. My car has a manual gearbox. I have tried shifting manually, but I can only get a 4th gear. My best guess is that my manual gearbox does not have enough torque. If anyone could help me with a solution to my problem, I would really appreciate it.

I do not have a clue. I don't know what a manual gearbox is, but I think the car has a 6 speed manual gearbox. If it is 6 speed, I do not know if you have enough torque.

If you're looking to buy one, you'll be making a decision based on a number of factors, including how well the car has held up and the reliability of the previous generation model. A significant chunk of that is the price of the carbon fiber roof, but there are a lot of other changes. So, how did the previous generation RS perform?

What's changed? In most areas, the RS remains true to the previous generation Focus. It's got the same interior (with an RS-specific shifter knob), it's got the same engine (with more horsepower), it's got the same suspension (with a new damper upgrade), and it even has the same brakes (with new rotors and pads).

It is a little larger, though. Thanks to the larger air intakes, the RS rides on larger and wider 19-inch wheels. The rest of the exterior remains the same as the previous model, with the exception of a spoiler.

What's not changed? We're not talking about minor things like power windows or electric mirrors, here. Most of the RS's exterior remains the same as the previous model.

It's also the same story on the inside. In fact, aside from the seats and steering wheel, there isn't anything different in the cabin.

What's changed on the inside? That steering wheel is new, but it's still wrapped in leather. The previous model's trim and stitching were changed, however, and now it's available in the same three colors as the current RS: Red, Silver, and Black.

As for the driver's seat, the new model has a lower seat bottom, slightly more side bolstering, and the aforementioned black stitching. How much does it cost? That's a significant chunk of change, but the car still retains its base price.

If you're looking to take your RS experience up a notch, then there are a few things you should consider before buying. For starters, it's fair to say that the Focus RS isn't the sort of car you'll be getting your grubby mitts all over. If anything, you'll be driving it with gloves on in case you need to take evasive action during a spin or two.

The Focus RS is built with a heavy dose of Porsche DNA, but thankfully, it's been tuned to be as comfortable and fun to drive as you'd expect from a Focus RS. It's a driver's car, after all.

It has the same turbocharged 1.6-litre three-cylinder engine as the Focus RS Cup, but it's been enhanced for performance. The extra power is delivered through the front wheels via a mechanical, six-speed gearbox.

When combined with Porsche Traction Management (PTM), the Focus RS will sprint from 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds. That's good for an extra 0.2 seconds over the Focus RS Cup, which should put this version of the RS firmly in your sights.

It's also the most powerful variant of the Focus RS. Porsche claims that the RS 4.0 Tiptronic has 505bhp and 540Nm of torque, compared to the 430bhp and 440Nm of the standard RS and RS 3.2 Tiptronic.

It's worth noting that the RS 4.0 Tiptronic is only available in Europe, which means you'll have to look to your local dealership to get it.

It's also worth pointing out that the Focus RS is one of the first cars that has a factory option of the optional Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) system. The PDK is essentially a dual clutch transmission, and this comes as standard with the RS 3.8 GT.

The RS 4.0 Tiptronic has been specifically built with the PDK system in mind.

Is the Focus RS rare?

Ford is a little less than a year away from launching its first all-new Mustang in 20 years, but the automaker is already taking some risks with the next-gen performance-focused Focus RS. We know that the car will arrive next year as a 2024 model, will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 350 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, and will feature the track-focused chassis tuning called Ford Performance. But it's been over a year since the RS's debut at the 2024 New York auto show, and we've still yet to see a production version of the performance compact hatch.

Forbes magazine recently took a look at the Focus RS, and while the magazine doesn't seem to think the Focus RS is rare, it does seem to believe it's one of the most expensive models on the market. In a recent article, Forbes' Brian Kelly wrote that "the Focus RS is an outlier in Ford's lineup. It's rare, it's expensive, and it's an electric blue."

According to Kelly, the Focus RS will be the rarest of the company's models in 2024, with only 5,400 being made. We also know that the Focus RS is a limited run model, which is why there will be only 5,400 of them. Ford wants to keep the number low so that it can sell the car, and so it doesn't affect the production rate of other models in the lineup.

Our Take. Kelly is right that the Focus RS is the rarest car in the lineup. The Focus RS will have fewer sales than the Shelby GT350, and it will have fewer sales than the Mustang GT350. The Focus RS will also have fewer sales than the Shelby GT350R, so the car is pretty rare.
