How fast does a Ram 1500 go from 0 to 60?
The 2024 Ram 1500 can make that number in about 12 seconds, which is pretty quick. A top speed of just over 100 mph is achieved with the standard EcoBoost engine and eight-speed automatic transmission.
Even if you opt for the new EcoDiesel V6 instead of the standard engine, you'll still score a relatively low 0 to 60 time. Only a handful of trucks make it there in about 9 seconds.
But it might be less of a hurry if the truck isn't going that fast in the first place. We took the new Ram 1500 to a track to see how well it handles a few of the toughest driving tests.
As always, you can see how it performs at any moment in the video embedded at the bottom of this article. Track tests: There are more details in the test method section below, but the basic setup for the track test is as follows: Drivers follow predetermined lines through cones laid out on a dirt road and they have a 30-second window during which they must drive the course (this is called green time). They also get three attempts per line or race (this is called yellow time) to follow a predetermined line as accurately as possible. One driver attempts multiple cars at once, which the other drivers call sausage runs because of the sound the tires make. The drivers call each other by the letters L (left), R (right) or X (excessive noise).
Each run has a maximum 30 seconds or finish time, though in practice drivers tend to do better with 25 seconds. A finish time is a combination of green and yellow times.
How fast is the 2024 Ram 1500? This test uses the new 6.7-liter V8 engine and 8-speed auto transmission. It takes 12.1 seconds from 0 to 60, although it can hit a more realistic 100 mph in about 9 seconds.
Our track tests consist of eight runs. In each run, all eight competitors compete simultaneously, so we can see how a single car handles. A typical competition can last an hour, but our test only goes for two hours. After the testing is complete, we break the competitors into their separate performances.
What is the 0 to 60 on a Ram Rebel TRX?
I'm thinking of getting a RAM Rebel TRX. The 0 to 60 in this would be nice, what is the 0 to 60 on this? It depends on your tire size but generally it's around the 25-28mph range which, depending on tire size, can be a little faster or slower than a base model Rebel. Not trying to be a smartass, but just throwing it out there that you might better off with a more powerful motor (the V8, for example). This may be why you are having such problems getting the engine sound, because the sound is so weak. For some reason the sound on a REB is the weakest sounding of all of them (REB1-RX5) and this is the only one i've had. I'll try again after the oil change today and hopefully find the right setting to improve the sound. Not trying to be a smartass, but just throwing it out there that you might better off with a more powerful motor (the V8, for example). I'd agree, if the performance is what you're looking for, then a 2.2 turbo is about as powerful as it gets without spending an arm and a leg.
It is true, a 2.
How fast does 5.7 Hemi go in 0 to 60?
I recently purchased a used 2024 Chevy Silverado LT 4WD with a 5.7 Hemi and was just wondering how fast this engine will get me to 60? I was told it was good at it's first time out the tunnel.
Does anyone know how fast it would be? Thanks for the info! If its good at the first try, it should be okay to the 60 mph mark at a solid 9. The truck will probably need to be run to the top end before you know for sure if it will fly or not. If it's not as advertised, then it won't fly.
The salesman told me that I was getting a stock motor for a car, not a modified one. I'm hoping to do this mod to make it a little more than stock Also is there a way to test for timing belt? I'd like to get that done before I do anything else. The salesman told me that I was getting a stock motor for a car, not a modified one. I'd like to get that done before I do anything else A stock motor means you are not going to get all of that horsepower. There may be more horsepower than what you get from stock depending on what else you have done to the engine. But even the fastest of the "supercharged" engines in a GM will only get 8.5 seconds at .070. So unless you are going to hit the 60 mark in 8.5 secs you probably aren't going to be getting any more than 8.0-8.
