Ford scores three awards from the Sunday Times
Editors and experts at the Sunday Times awarded three titles to Ford vehicles in their latest top 100. The Ford S-MAX came top in the Multi Purpose vehicle (MPV) category, whilst the Ford Fiesta was voted top in the best supermini category. Another Fiesta, this time the Fiesta ST, was voted top in the hot hatch category.
The Ford Fiesta has been the UK's best-selling vehicle for a number of years, and regularly appears at the top of automotive charts. Already a dozen or so awards have been given to the model this year.
The Sunday Times were finding it hard to decide whether the drive quality of the Fiesta or the way it looks were the biggest appeal for their judges, and as the model they looked at was the new Titanium trimmed model, with a 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine, it is not a surprise.
The chairman and MD of Ford UK, Mark Ovenden, was of course over the moon to have received the three awards from the Sunday Times, and mentioned that they have "many stars in our best-ever product range".
