Where is the new Ford Tourneo Connect made?
Will there be a 2024 Transit Connect?
The TTC is now officially working on a plan to build a new bus rapid transit line on the Yonge Line. This would entail constructing a new section of subway from Finch West to the end of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, then putting in bus stops along Yonge St., and finally building a line to Don Mills.
This article has been updated to remove the part about how this will be built while the TTC is still building the Sheppard Subway. This is not accurate and the plan, if the board approves it in the upcoming budget, is to do it before the Sheppard Subway opens, but after the new York University branch of the Yonge Street line is complete.
The following is based on a presentation by Toronto's Chief Planner Jennifer Keesmaat, which I recommend watching, since she explains a lot of the issues here. She also answers the question of Why Transit City - the original name for the transit expansion plan, and why it was replaced.
A number of questions were asked, including whether we should instead be focusing on the GO network for our mobility needs, and whether the focus should be on adding more frequent bus services instead of increasing rail capacity. In order to get a more comprehensive answer to that question, let's first look at who will use transit. The presentation says that in 2024, 86 per cent of transit riders were within a two-minute walk of a transit stop. This includes people taking buses and subways, and people riding buses and subways.
When you look at where these 86 per cent of transit users live, the majority are still living in the Greater Toronto Area. Over half of the region's growth is still happening in the GTA, and most of that growth happens in the GTThis makes sense, as one would expect any growth in Toronto to have a high concentration in the area. That is what the city grows into. The population is what builds the new roads, it's what makes the new housing, and it's what brings in the new workers.
The population is concentrated in a very small area. When you look at the maps for the transit lines, it appears that they have a very limited range of travel. There are a few lines that cover the suburbs, and the majority of our population lives in the immediate downtown core.
What are the specs of the 2023 Ford Tourneo?
The interior of the 2024 Ford Tourneo was designed by the same guys who gave the Galaxy the 'S' moniker, giving it a sleek minimalist feel. This is complemented by the use of metallic black accents and a dark grey grained and leather wrapped dash.
What's in the boot? For a little extra rear-seat comfort, Ford has given the 2024 Tourneo a 50:50 split-fold second-row. However, there is no room for children, but kids don't need this extra space as the Tourneo can be transformed into a double cab with a flip-down third row. A fold-flat third row can also be added to extend its cargo capacity. This is done via a sliding mechanism that gives you a neat 'plants and flowers' look.
How does it drive? It is an all-new car, developed under the Nautilus brand. The body structure has been redesigned to give it a dynamic performance, giving the SUV an excellent ride.
If you are a small child, then this is not a new concept. But, you will also notice how the SUV can fit a family of four, just fine. Its versatility is very much evident. A standard five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT unit is available. The SUV also comes with two variants of petrol engines, a 2.5-litre diesel, the EcoBoost petrol engine, a 3.5-litre, and a 5.0-litre V8 petrol. The SUV comes with a number of safety features, including a high-tech collision avoidance system, the ability to self-drive at night and a night vision camera to avoid collisions.
Do I need to mention the price? It is priced at Rs 17.99 lakhs, with availability expected in the country sometime in 2024.

By Tom Carbone and Mark Littman. Both Caddy 2024 and Tourneo Connect are the first in their class for their segment (subcompact hatchbacks and sedans). To address the question of what is the difference between the two and how does the Tourneo Connect compare with other subcompact cars: You can see the pricing, fuel economy, features, etc. All on this list of comparison charts.
The Caddy 2024 was launched in late 2024 as a new subcompact car, one of the first-ever vehicles to get the Caddy badge. The company already sells a subcompact car named Caddy 14, but this new model is more mainstream and aimed at an all-new type of consumer. The main feature that sets the Caddy 2024 apart from the rest of the subcompact class is the use of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The power output is 170 horsepower and 199 foot-pounds of torque, which helps the Caddy 2024 accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 8.1 seconds. A seven-speed automatic transmission comes standard with this car.
The Caddy 2024 also includes a number of advanced safety features. The car has a multi-stage electronic stability control system with driver assist technology called Electronic Roll Mitigation and an advanced braking system called Brake Assist. There is also a rearview camera that is part of the Autopilot system, which is included on the more expensive Caddy 21 and Caddy 21 Vision packages. The Caddy 2024 is also available with a long list of safety features, including lane-departure warning, collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high beams.
The styling of the Caddy 2024 includes a longer hood, a shorter rear overhang, and a shorter rear deck. The car gets a redesigned front end that includes LED headlamps, new headlights, and daytime running lamps. It also has a new trunk lid, integrated spoiler, and new wheels and tires. The Caddy 2024 uses a lot of lightweight material and is about 100 pounds lighter than the previous model.
