How many employees does Auto Trader have? Over 10,000. If you have worked for Auto Trader, what is the best/worst job you have had? I was a sales exec at a time when were selling more vehicles than ever. As sales are down, of course, all jobs are a little harder at the moment. The best jobs were as general manager of different branches around the country. The worst has been an 'executive assistant' which sounds better than what it actually involved. It involved a lot of phone calls and a not a lot of interesting work.

What do you do for fun? I am a big motor racing fan. But my wife doesn't like that! The most annoying thing about working for Auto Trader? The most annoying thing is finding yourself in a car with just one arm because you have to push the button to open the door, so you can get out. The other big issue is the sheer volume of emails that arrive everyday. It is enough to give most people a backache!

And finally where do you think this year's Vauxhall Meriva will end up in Top Gear's 'Top Trumps'? It has the lowest base price of any of the four cars, so it must be the slowest. And its only engine options are a 1.2-litre turbodiesel and a petrol engine with two variants. That doesn't make a car, nor does it add value, so it probably has to be the worst.

And after that? Hopefully in next year's Top Trumps!
