What is the difference between the Maverick XLT and the Maverick Lariat?

2022 ford maverick lariat hybrid specs What is the difference between the Maverick XLT and the Maverick Lariat?

I thought they were just different versions of the one model. What is the XLT vs. Lariat? Why would people buy them? They are two different lines with one common core. They are based upon the same body, wheelbase and other dimensions as the Maverick Lariat is. A change interior has been made to give the XLT a more upscale feel.

There were about 4 - 6 years between each version. So there were a few years where I'm guessing no new features were introduced. The XLT came out first then the LX went out after that. I assume in between when the LX came out we got to buy the LX (although we never even did. I have some old paperwork for an XLT which I was able to find online. It's interesting reading).

A quick description from the Maverick website. The Maverick LX is the lower priced option from the Maverick line up. It comes equipped with a 5 speaker sound system & a 5-CD changer while still offering all the safety features that the top end Maverick models offer. The Maverick LX comes with optional side view mirrors, side back up sensor lights, rain sensing wipers, and includes many of the features that come standard on the top of the line models such as air bags, anti-lock brakes, dual stage front/rear axles.

The Maverick LX comes with leather seating throughout. The rear seats have adjustable lumbar support.

I'm looking at getting a 2026 LX because I have a 2026 maverick Lariat. Does the Maverick LX seat better or will I be okay with my maverick Lariat? Will I have quality problems? That's what I want to know. All my other trucks came out of a dealership so I never had to worry about any issues before. I've owned a 2026, 2026 X5L and the 2026 Lariat and I know I would have problems with a Lariat. As far as the seat goes, does a MXL or LX seat better than an LX?

This forum seems dead on XLTs. Are the 2015-2016 mavericks LX's a little lower in price? Are they better than the mavericks LXs?

How far can a Ford Maverick hybrid go on a full tank?

We got to the bottom of it

Just like a regular Maverick, the gas-electric hybrid Ford F-150 has a 5.3-liter V-8 mated to a 13-horsepower electric motor and 7.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and it's capable of hauling a pair of people up a hill or three on a full tank. But we wanted to know just how far the hybrid could go.

A few weeks ago, we went out in the truck to test a battery-electric F-150 for ourselves. The BEF150 is a pretty new model for Ford, debuting at the Detroit Auto Show last month. But it already has a strong following, and we had a chance to drive it during the show. Unfortunately, it was off limits for most of the day, so we couldn't test its range in the normal fashion.

In lieu of a real test, we turned to our friend Mike O'Brien, an automotive journalist who has put many miles on the road in all kinds of vehicles. And he's not only an expert at this type of testing; he's also an expert at putting his foot on the accelerator.

Enlarge Image Ford. O'Brien is no stranger to BEF150s. He's been out on the road with the prototype and the production version. He told us that the Ford's battery-only range was somewhere in the area of 100 miles. That's about the same as the Toyota Prius.

When it comes to hybrid tech, the F-150 is one of the more complex models. It's the only vehicle in the US to have a hybrid system with both a gasoline engine and a lithium-ion battery.

How does it work? The gas engine works in concert with the electric motor to generate power and add torque when needed. When there's a lot of power required, the gas engine kicks in and takes over.

"Ford's engineers have done a really good job making sure that they have hybrid technology that maximizes the use of both engines," O'Brien said. "You can have the engine operating in a higher rpm range if you need extra power, and the electric motor will provide it."

The other important thing to remember is that when the gas engine kicks in, the truck's engine RPMs are limited. The max is 2,700 RPM.
