What does lariat package include Maverick?

Can someone explain me what lariat package include Maverick? Does it include Maverick, ie a new engine and the new chassis? Lariat comes with a new spec engine, but it's pretty old by the looks of it. It also comes with a new spec chassis, though it's based on the old Lancer, which is a pity. I'm not sure if it has any of the new features, but it's probably more focused on the retro look. There are rumours that it will be rebadged with a Mazda RX-7 next year, though I think this is just speculation. Maverick is the official name of the new engine (and it is an entirely new engine, as opposed to being a hybrid like the existing ZS-engines), but it looks like it will be based on the existing engine architecture, and therefore will be available for the Lancer, Lancer Evolution and Lancer Evolution X. It should have all the power/torque characteristics of the current ZS-engines, which means around 190bhp/250Nm at 6000rpm, which is a lot more than the existing ZS-engines (120bhp/165Nm). It should also be lighter, which should help with the handling.

The chassis looks very similar to the existing Lancer chassis, and has been designed for rear-wheel drive.

So I picked up an XLT, and I'm starting to wonder if a lariat is better. I've always wondered that since I have a little bit of money set aside, maybe I should just buy it right now. I did some research and there aren't really any pro or cons either way, besides that I have no experience with the lariat. I'd have to take it apart, put it back together and maybe then I'll have a reason for the difference between the two.

I know I have a big one, but I think it's because it has my name on it, which I will remove after I get the Lariat. I want a Lariat.at least not yet! I'm pretty sure my Lariat is worth more than what it's selling for. It's a good combo piece and it's a cool name, although it's not the most practical for me since I rarely ride (or train) in my hood.

I'd love to try a Lariat but I really don't have much money saved for it. Maybe I'll order it from BSN and pay the difference? Not sure. It's only once you get knocked down that you realize you're standing in front of a glass window.
