How fast does 5.7 Hemi go from 0 to 60?

How fast does 5.7 Hemi go from 0 to 60?

What is the 0 to 60 on a 2018 Dodge Charger?

The 0 to 60 mph time on the 2026 Dodge Charger is a fairly good 6.7 seconds at the wheels, however, there's a reason it's considered a beast.

Under the hood sits a 5.7-liter V-8 engine that's good for 444 horsepower. The transmission is a seven-speed automatic with paddle shifters. For those interested in seeing the performance car up close, this vehicle also comes equipped with some nifty wheels and tires that should help you appreciate just how much muscle is under that Charger badge.

Inside, it's no surprise that everything, from the seats, to the radio, to the climate control, is leather and suede. Some models also come with the heated seats and heated steering wheel option, which can definitely make this Dodge a warm, welcoming spot.

What makes it fast? If you want a vehicle that's really going to test the limits of your will, and of course, you'll never want anything else, well, then a Dodge Charger is the best way to go. On our road course, the 0 to 60 time was pretty great at 6.7 seconds, and when combined with a little torque from the V-8, gives you good getaway time. To put it in perspective, the Dodge Challenger is the fastest of the current muscle cars by a mile, and just ahead of the muscle cars' more capable sibling, the Ford Mustang. The 0 to 60 is actually a lot faster than the Dodge Hellcat Challenger, making it slower than that mid-engined muscle car. However, it is slightly quicker than the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody.

What's new for 2018? Since this car launched it has only gotten better. The base model now gets dual power outlets in the center console, as well as heated seat, steering wheel, and windows. Standard safety features also include stability control, forward collision alert, rear vision camera, and front and rear park assist. The mid-level starts to include the option of a driver knee airbag, and the top-of-the-line gets an upgraded set of brakes, tire pressure monitor, and the 7.

How fast does 5.7 Hemi go from 0 to 60?

I have been having some serious doubts about a Hemi since the first time I saw it. I was watching a Hemi video on youtube and they were telling me that this thing is the "real deal" and not just a fake. This has scared me so bad that I started looking around on google to see if people here would say the same thing about this car. I came across an article on Hemi.com and it said that this car would get over 50 mpg in the city and I was shocked. It scared me so bad that I have been researching a lot of different topics about the Hemi engine since then.

The Hemi Engine is built very well but the big question that I have is.how fast does it go from 0 to 60 mph. I have looked online at many times and it says it takes about 7 seconds. I believe that there are more people that know about how well it runs then actually know how fast it goes from 0 to 60. If you know of anyone who knows how fast this car goes from 0 to 60, I would really appreciate it.

Re: ? I have posted the information on the Hemi.com article I found because I was so shocked. The article said this car would get 50 mpg in the city which I knew nothing about. When I posted the article on here I got a few responses that said the same thing that the article stated. The only reason I posted the article was to show that this car is a real deal that was built very well. If anyone knows of any other articles that would be good to see too.

You could easily check the torque figures on both the 5.0 and 5.7 from the dyno sheets. Not only that, but I'm sure BMW puts the power output on their website for comparison purposes as well.

The torque values are also listed in the article.

How fast can a Charger RT go 0-60?

2018 5.7 hemi 0 60 charger review How fast can a Charger RT go 0-60?

The answer may surprise you. Based on the company's "official" numbers, the 2026 Dodge Charger RT takes 5.1 seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill.

But the performance-oriented Charger SRT8 version of the car can reach 60 in just 4.3 seconds.

That's nearly one second faster than the time it takes a new Corvette Z06 to reach 60. When we tested the 2026 Charger RT earlier this year, we measured a time of 6.4 seconds, but then added about five-tenths of a second for the extra weight of all the extra equipment on that model.

So how can the 2026 Charger RT with its basic equipment beat the Z06? To find out, we'll be testing both cars on the same stretch of road, starting at the familiar spot where the "Road and Track" magazine crew begins its time trials in a Corvette Z06. First, we'll go back to the day were testing the Charger RT back in March. We'll retrace our steps as we re-enter the highway and follow it past the familiar signs for "Speed Limit 45," "Top Gear," "Top Gear." And there it is, right up ahead, the familiar sign for "Road and Track" magazine's "The Truth about Cars" challenge:

We've already driven past that point before in the Charger RT, but let's see what the Z06 is doing now. It took the Z06 only 5.4 seconds to reach 60 mph. That's slightly slower than we'd expect, given its 542 horsepower, but that's a typical delay you get with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

So, we'll see how it goes now. We'll start driving along the highway, leaving the Charger behind as it passes us.

Is the 5.7 Hemi Charger fast?

A while back I was considering an EFI conversion for my old '94 F-350. In the process of researching options, I noticed that Ford is still offering the 5.7 Hemi Charger conversion kit for this year's model year. Having driven a few pre-charger F-350s with a few engines before the conversion, it caught my eye.

I'm not sure what engine I'm looking at, but I know it's not the 4.6L Vortec motor. I'll know soon enough because Ford has not indicated that it's discontinued. And while my previous engine is a good size, it's definitely not big.

Has anyone converted a 5.7, or any non-EFI engine to fuel injection and had good results? My current truck doesn't even have a vacuum system so all EFI needs is the injectors (no manifold gaskets) and some wires from the ignition box.

I would think that having worked on my dad's old car it should be pretty easy if you want to keep the ECM in tact. It can be pretty hard to find information on older cars. Have you looked at that thread on the BBS?

This is a bit off topic, but Ford seems to be doing away with the 6V92 as the timing belt sensor. This causes the light in the instrument cluster to not turn on during the startup sequence. There is a thread in this forum where the solution for the 6V92 sensor is to replace it with a new one that is rated to handle higher RPMs.

You may be right. Since the '98s and earlier, I can recall my dad having the 6V92 replaced, and in 1998 the stock sensor was moved to a place where the instrument cluster wasn't working. And, yes, the 5.7 engine has the higher redline.

I've looked at that thread, but I've already decided what engine I'm going to use.
