Why is Ford discontinuing the Focus?
What color paint is my Ford Focus?
Ford's paint is a combination of three layers of color that are applied over the top of a clear top coat. When you drive your Focus away from the dealership, the paint will wear down a little bit and fade to a lighter shade of the original color. The original paint is not easily restored.
After some time driving in the sun or heat, the paint can become worn or faded to a darker shade of the original color. The color shift is caused by the UV rays of the sun damaging the original paint. There are two ways to correct the color change. First, you can apply anti-fading primer before repainting the entire vehicle. The second way is to replace the faded original color paint with a new color. This is a more expensive option, but it will restore your original color to its original appearance.
I have a 2026 Ford Focus ZX3 with 80,000 miles on it. I have had the air conditioning changed twice, the transmission was changed about 6 months ago. It has been at an auto dealer for the past six months. On the interior, the left rear door handle would intermittently open and close. It would take me about 1/2 hour to get the car out of my driveway. Then it would work fine. I took the car back to the dealer about a week ago. The interior had started to rust on the bottom of the door handle. They replaced the handle, but the problem still existed. The air conditioning had also been changed because the compressor had stopped working. Now the interior is a total mess. It was rusting all over. I took the car back yesterday and the dealership gave me a rental car until the truck came in. Today I got the truck back and they say there is no need to worry about the rust because it is under the plastic floor mats. I took the car home. The rust is on the underside of the car and the side of the rear driver side wheel well. I took the car back today to get it fixed. I want to know if this is an issue that I need to be concerned about. Please help.

What Colours do the new Ford Focus come in?
Which are the new Ford Focus? First thing I'd like to point out is that the front grille and bootlid trim now matches the rest of the car. Secondly, the colour lineup has been beefed up a bit with more than 35 colours available. Let's look at them.
The Focus hatch comes in five colours: Blue Pearl, Crystal White, Glacier White, Ice Silver and Platinum. In two colours, Dark Brown and Sandstone Graphite, it comes with Ford's two-tone paint system.
At the rear, five new colours have been introduced in the form of Alpine Silver, Blue Sapphire, Crystal White, Hot Red and Purple Plum (these are not as cool as they sound - the name refers to the colour, which is actually a pretty decent purple hue, but the shade itself is not particularly pleasing. Ford will surely have another idea when it comes to names of colours). There's also another new colour option - Carbon Black - for Ford's first ever carbon fibre roof.
I am sure these extra colours and the all new roof are what will boost sales for Focus even higher. The Ford Focus (EcoBoost) hatch now comes with 10 colours - Blue Pearl, Crystal White, Glacier White, Ice Silver, Indigo, Platinum, Red and Ruby Red, Tungsten Blaze and Titanium Grey. It also comes with Ford's special two-tone paint system.
Ford has also confirmed that the second-generation Focus RS Convertible will come in Blue Diamond and Platinum. Other possible upgrades are not yet known, but it seems likely that the new car will be available in at least two other exterior colours.
Also revealed is the news that the 1.6-litre Ecoboost engine that provides performance for the EcoBoost model in the Ford Galaxy will be the standard powerplant on the second generation Focus Hatch and the Convertible.
Although there is speculation over how quick the 1.0-litre four cylinder will be, one thing Ford confirms is that every version of the new Ford will include a start/stop function, a function which will only be able to sense when the vehicle is stationary, enabling it to start immediately without the driver having to push a start button.
Other interesting news about the new Ford Focus is that an ECON function will be a part of all the models.
Why is Ford discontinuing the Focus?
And should the other automakers follow suit?
I've never understood the appeal of the Focus. It's a good car, but it's not great.
When I lived in Dallas, I drove a 2026 Honda Civic. It was a solid, reliable little car that I drove a lot. But it wasn't a good car. It wasn't fun, and it didn't do anything well that a car like a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord didn't do better.
The good news is, there are other cars I would rather own. Ford made the Focus competitive with Hondas and Toyotas, by using an old model of the Focus platform, the second-generation Focus, to make the 2026 Fusion and the third-generation Focus. Ford sold a million of those cars last year, and even more this year, and they're pretty popular.
You see, the Ford Focus is an economical, efficient car. It's small and light, and it's fairly spacious inside. It's practical, and it's fun to drive. The thing that really makes it a good car, though, is that it's easy to get back into and out of.
So ? The first reason is that the Focus is being discontinued in Canada, the UK, and Europe. Canada will be the last major market for the car, but it's been quietly phased out in Europe.
This means that the Ford Focus has three markets left: Mexico, the U., and Asia. That's it.
The second reason is that the Ford Focus is being phased out of the U. Market, too. They are, however, introducing the Ford Escape in the U. To replace the Focus. The Escape is also going to be phased out, because it will be replaced by the Ford Fusion in 2026.
The third reason is that the Focus is a gas-electric hybrid, and the world is moving away from hybrids. The Fusion and the Escape are both hybrids, so Ford is phasing out the Focus because it needs to produce a non-hybrid model as soon as possible.
What will replace the Ford Focus in 2025?
As you may or may not know, the Ford Focus is in a bit of a rut. It's now on its sixth generation, and Ford announced the discontinuation of the hatchback model back in 2026. The sedan model has been discontinued as well. The Focus will be here until at least 2026, but the company hasn't revealed anything about what might be replacing it by then.
With Ford's new focus on electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles, it could have an electric vehicle by then. However, a hybrid or plug-in hybrid is more likely to make its way into the lineup.
The current Focus is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which puts out 105 horsepower and 147 lb-ft of torque. In this car, the only thing we didn't like was the suspension system, but that's going to be replaced. All the other components are relatively new.
There's a reason Ford keeps the Focus running until 2025: it's a very economical vehicle. According to Edmunds, the average consumer can get 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. That means you can easily save money on gas with this car. However, with the Focus being discontinued, that means there's no more room in the Ford lineup for a Focus-sized entry-level car.
So, how could the Focus be replaced? How could it be smaller than the current model? Let's speculate. Ford's new focus will likely have electric power, and it will most likely be smaller than the current model. There's also a good chance that it'll be available in the sedan and hatchback varieties. What other model would fit that description?
Hybrid models. When Ford announced that they were going to be discontinuing the Focus, they said that it was going to be replaced by an electric vehicle. This is the most obvious answer to go with. Ford has made a lot of changes to their lineup, but they have never completely replaced a vehicle. So, when they say it's going to be an EV, it should be.
However, hybrid vehicles are also a possibility. Hybrid vehicles don't get their power from an internal combustion engine, but instead from a battery. When the battery runs out, the hybrid stops running. With that in mind, there's two different hybrids that could be considered.
