UK garages back in the good books
According to a new study by Motor Codes, the best part of those surveyed now trust a garage not to rip them off. Motor Codes is the self-regulatory body for the automotive sector and is owned by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Over 25,000 surveys were taken, asking for motorists' assessments of their treatment at garages, and an outstanding 98% of those surveyed said they placed trust in their garage. 4,500 of these surveys where taken by motorists buying new cars, whilst the remaining 20,500 surveys were from customers buying a service from a Motor Codes affiliated garage.
Managing Director of Motor Codes, Chris Mason, commented: "This upward trend suggests growing consumer confidence in the professional standards of garages in the Motor Codes network. But we won't rest on our laurels. This report will become an annual fixture - a regular, public check-in on our businesses and standards. We'll continue surveying customers to make sure that people can choose a Motor Codes garage with confidence."
The figures from this survey show an encouraging rise in the reputations of companies who specialise in vehicle repair work. With a 98% rate of happy customers, it looks as if the garage marketplace is quickly regaining it's reputation of quality and it's trust value.
