New i40 model made public by Hyundai
The Japanese car giant has said the Premium SE will come with a slew of features as standard. Powerful xenon headlights come with an adaptive front lighting system, moving to shine round the corner as you turn. Ventilated seats in the front and rear can heated or ventilated depending on the weather. These features were previously called the Comfort and Vision packs.
Premium SE models also benefit from tyre pressure monitoring, and a lane departure warning system. They will be available with either an automatic or manual gearbox, and will feature the 1.7 litre CRDi 136PS engine.
Price wise, you will be surprised. The i40 Tourer Premium SE starts at £27,465 for a standard version, moving up to £28,670 for the automatic gearbox version. Should you wish to try the Saloon, the standard version will cost £26,065, whilst the automatic version will cost £27,270.
The CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, Tony Whitehorn, commented: "The i40 has, and continues to be, a tremendous product to have in our range and to date it has sold in excess of 7,000 units since launch. The addition of the Premium SE trim to the line-up means customers now get even more comfort, luxury, convenience and safety features as standard, most of which are on-cost options with other rival mainstream D-segment cars."
