Is Zetec better than normal Fiesta?

Is Zetec better than normal Fiesta?

Is Zetec better than normal Fiesta?

By james on Monday August 26, 2026. I have a 2026 zetec coupe and have noticed that when I drive over 70 mph it starts rocking a little bit. I feel like the engine wants to fall out of the car. I drive at 80 mph in traffic and it feels fine. Is this normal? Any ideas?

Re: Zetec better than normal Fiesta? The other day I was having similar issues. I found that when I lowered my speed from 90-100 to 60-70mph the car settled down. I went back to driving at 90mph and the issue occurred again. My car wasnt making any noise either when I lowered my speed.

I'm really happy with the car but I do find the engine to be a little rough for my taste. A friend of mine has a Zetec. He loves it. To me, he would make any of them. He runs around an average of around 100k - 120k mpg. I think he might be a bit more conservative.

I'm on the fence about it myself. I want a little better power, but it's so much fun to drive. I just hope it doesn't cost me money at all. And since I know it's not made to fit in like a regular small car, I'm hoping it's got a bit more space and room than the smaller Fiestas.

I have a zetec and absolutely love it! I was leaning towards the 2.0 lansing because I felt it was more powerful, however my wife has the 1.6 and she loves it! She always has an odd look on her face when we drive it.

I'm still debating whether or not to get the 2. I'm leaning more towards that right now. I really want the better gas mileage though so that will be the deciding factor.

My friend who owns a Zetec is telling me that he has a problem with that little engine in his Fiesta. You can really hear it when he hits 70mph, and it also makes a grinding noise when he brakes.

Is it worth buying a second hand Ford Fiesta?

For people looking for a new cheap car, the answer is probably yes. It's certainly possible, with savings of up to 400 over the life of the car. The main issue, however, is that there are plenty of cheap cars already available. It's therefore very difficult to find one that you can be confident is going to last for at least five years.

The Ford Fiesta ST has a price of 10,995 and a CO2 emissions of 143g/km. This is available with three different engines: a 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine (115bhp); a 1.4-litre EcoBoost engine (140bhp); and a 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo diesel (150bhp). The top of the range SE trim costs 14,995 and includes remote locking, auto lights and wipers, power tailgate, leather seats, a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors and alloy wheels.

There are two other options to consider; plus some optional extras, like auto cruise, lane change alert, heated front seats and LED running lamps. The cheapest model is the basic A trim, priced from 8,595. This has a manual gearbox with a choice of a four-speed automatic or an economy-boosting CVT transmission, making it one of the cheapest economy-boosted cabs available. All trims come with a dual-cab pick-up.

Ford are promoting the Fiesta as a family car in the same way that other manufacturers now promote their SUVs as family cars. This is because the car is extremely versatile. It doesn't have a conventional load space behind the front seats. But, if you add a fold down rear bench, you can get it to carry four people as if it had a load space behind the front seats. It will do that even with a passenger sitting on the passenger side of the front seats.

There are no back seat passengers allowed, but the extra space means that even the smallest child won't need a booster seat. There is also no head restraint for the front seat passenger, but it's quite well cushioned and most cars won't cause injury if you bump your head. There is adequate legroom in the rear, which is more than you can say for all SUVs.
