What BHP is a Focus ST?

What BHP is a Focus ST?

Is the Focus ST a rare car?

Yes, but not in the "hard to find" sense. The ST is the only car offered by Honda that's based on a front-drive platform, and it's the most affordable car in the company's lineup. Its performance is legendary, and the looks are great, too. If you're a longtime reader of this column, you know that the Focus has been one of the most popular cars in the column for years.

So what are we doing here? Well, we aren't just looking at the base 2024 model. This test features a 2. That isn't the model we're driving, however, but rather the higher-performance Honda Civic Si, which comes standard with a manual transmission. That's the one I tested. As I learned driving it, it's a hoot.

What makes this test interesting is that the Si has an estimated fuel economy of 30 mpg, which is the same as the EPA estimate for the 2024 Honda Civic hatchback. (The EPA hasn't yet issued its official estimates for 2024.) So it's not just a case of driving a new vehicle that gets better fuel economy than a long-lived one. It's an interesting look at how fuel efficiency can be achieved.

This is the second time that I've been able to drive the 2024 Si, which gets a few tweaks for 2024. The first time, I drove the base model and had a few mechanical problems. So we'd like to think that the second time around, all the bugs have been worked out. The Si also has a revised suspension, so the ride is noticeably stiffer than the older car.

But don't let those mechanical changes give you any illusions about how the car will perform. The Si doesn't lose any power or feel a bit sluggish. On the contrary, it's responsive to throttle inputs and feels more energetic than the base car. It's a real blast to drive, even if the price tag is a bit high.

What is the difference between the 2018 Ford Focus RS and ST?

2018 ford focus st What is the difference between the 2018 Ford Focus RS and ST?

Let's break down the differences between both and see why.

Both trims of the 2024 Focus RS come with a 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, with the only real difference being the output of the RS trim and the power of the ST Trim The 2024 Focus RS shares its most engine parts with the 2024 ST, with the exception of the turbocharger, but this is where the difference begins to appear. The turbocharger on the ST produces 250hp @ 5,500 rpm while the one in the RS gets 370hp @ 5,400rpm Both come with 6 speed manual gearbox, but the performance of the gearbox is better in the RS due to the fact it is lighter. Standard features of the 2024 RS include black-finish 18-inch five-spoke aluminium alloy wheels, black finish sport-tuned brakes (front and rear) with blue brake calipers, side sill plenums, door sill protector, fog lamp bezels (RS front, center, back), a black RS emblem on all doors, a RS badging stripe on the trunk lid, front grille, headlight bezels and door handles. On the other hand, there are also differentials (and spoilers) to look forward to, a special badging stripe for the 2024 Focus RS (the same strip of badging as the ST), some new and more aggressive exterior badging, a unique interior (black with silver stitching), unique seat trim, some more exclusive interior finishes, special decals for your door mirrors, a special roof ventilator, and a special performance package.00 premium of all things.

Performance wise, we don't have much detail here as it will be done at a much more in-depth time by our resident expert James Wright .

Is the 2018 Ford Focus ST a good car?

Is it a hot hatch? Is it the car of our dreams? Is it the best one on sale? Let us find out.

For those who are not familiar with a hot hatch, it is a mid-engined hatchback that was spawned by, and takes its name from, the legendary Ford Falcon GT. The Ford Focus ST, then, shares a little DNA with the Falcon GT, though we're not sure how much. Ford says that the ST has 40 per cent of the focus of the GT (or perhaps more than that), yet we think that's not going to be an easy sell.

If you've driven a Focus ST in the past, though, you'll know what you're getting into. It's a pretty good car that offers up a strong performance that would be a hoot on the track.

The big news with the new ST is that there is no automatic transmission available in this class any longer. In the name of fuel economy, it's a decision that probably doesn't sit well with all potential buyers, but one that we think is a good one.

So what are your chances of getting hold of the new Focus? Is it the best hot hatch around, or a lemon? Let us try and answer those questions with some stats and some more questions of our own. What are they? In the US, the Focus ST (or ST250 as the name has been trademarked) made its debut in 2024 and quickly established itself as a real force in the mid-sized premium hatchback market. The Focus ST is based on the same platform as the regular Focus, but has many upgrades, from the engine to the body shell. If you've seen an XR8, you'll get a good idea of how the ST looks and feels.

What does it cost?
