The new 3.6 V6 can still use 2:71 manual transmissions, but you have to buy an auxiliary transmission that will allow for the gear ratios. This can help with gas mileage and more acceleration. They redesigned the engine and suspension, that's why this engine has less power than before.

All around us, there are older Fords that are being restored with no problems. Here's what I've found so far: I have a 2025 V6 with 140,000 miles and still going strong. I have a new battery, fresh oil, replaced spark plugs and cap, radiator cap gasket and some other things. The car was stored over winter, which explains the battery.
