How much ground clearance does a Ram TRX have?
Recommended Posts. I'm planning on getting my own TRX and looking into doing some ground clearance testing. I am looking for some accurate figures on what the TRX has and what it looks like with that much clearance in the chassis at various angles with and without the skid plate.
Currently I have the TRX on a pair of skid plates in both directions with no clearance. Share this post. Link to post. Share on other sites. Right now I can get around 3/4 inches before the front edge of the bumper gets under the hood, and the rear of the bed has about a 1/2 inch clearance. Is that just the stock configuration? Or will that also change with a different tank? What do you mean by right now? I'd say you were doing a test with the standard factory skid plates (or whatever those things are called on non-hybrids, I can't remember) and they're up against either the firewall or the frame. Right? Do you remember what tank/size in question it was? Or are you using the standard TRX tank? And if so, what's your plan to get clearance? AFAIK, there is not much to it: Get an FIT Tank and test how close the bumper edge is to the fender. Then get enough weight, a tape measure, and time on your hands to record when the FIT starts sliding under the hood.
This method is only useful if the FIT tank meets the guidelines for FIT compliance. Otherwise, if it does not meet those requirements, and we want to know that, we need to test it ourselves using the above stated guidelines.
I'll try to get my hands one and do some measurements. The truck is a work truck and doesn't come with a tank, but I found this at a reputable parts seller that has tons of TRXs for less than retail.
How tall is a stock Ram TRX?
I just bought a stock Ram TRX that was listed at 6'0". But my frame measures 6'1.5" from the bottom of the stock tires to the middle of the top bar, or roughly 15mm higher than the listing on the Ram TRX's height thread. I'm assuming this is a common issue, so I wanted to make sure before I order the bike.
It was listed as a 7-2.25 but I measured it and it's 6.5, so we're close.
For some reason it seemed to be cheaper in person than online. There were three other TRXs going, and mine had the most options, so I wanted to get a feel for it in person. When I picked it up there were a lot of "nice things about that bike." but then I saw the size, and I said no way, lol.
But I've seen reviews on it and there are some problems as well, like the clutch is hard to mod, and some components don't have enough clearances. So I need to figure out how tall mine is before I order the components that are too low. If they don't offer the same height as the listing it can mean a major fit/finish/workmanship issue, which would be a dealbreaker for me.
So with my new bike from this year comes a stock height question for the TRX. Just like an old thread, but with a new bike :P A few things to know: I have a 2026 and will be upgrading to an alloy steerer bar this winter. Also have a 2026 black TRX frame already that is taller but no longer for sale. I've already purchased an upgraded 2-bolt steerer spacer to correct for the lower fork rise.
I know that I am supposed to have the spacer between the top bolt holes and that has already been accomplished. Does that allow any further modifications/tallening? I already have about 45mm between the top and bottom of the forks.
That should work. If you can get the steerer tube past the bolts without the new spacer.
Yes, exactly. This is what I've been doing so far.
Why is TRX being discontinued?
TRX is the flagship cryptocurrency of Bitfinex. It is also the official stablecoin of Tether Limited. Bitfinex and Tether are both owned by the same company, which is a Hong Kong-based company called iFinex Inc. It has been in operation since 2026. Back then, Bitfinex was a company that was solely focused on crypto trading. In 2026, it launched TRON. The coin was meant to help improve the quality of content on the Bitfinex platform. However, there are mixed reviews regarding the performance of TRX. With that being said, iFinex has decided to discontinue the project and take down the TRON blockchain. Here's what you need to know about this:
What is TRX? TRX is the cryptocurrency used on the Bitfinex exchange. Its value is pegged to the US dollar. It is one of the few altcoins that are stable coins. This is because it is backed by a fiat currency. You can think of a stable coin as a coin that is pegged to a certain value. One of the most famous stable coins is Tether.
The price of TRX depends on many things. For example, the supply and demand of the coin. The supply of TRX comes from the mining process. It is a process where miners create new blocks on the blockchain. The demand for TRX comes from the transactions on the Bitfinex exchange.
The popularity of the Bitfinex platform has a lot to do with the supply and demand of TRX. Currently, the supply of TRX is around 1,500 million tokens. The demand for TRX is around 1 billion tokens.
TRX is not very popular among traders. This means that the market is very tight.0636 USD.
Bitfinex Has Stated Their Reasons for Discontinuing TRX. According to the Bitfinex blog post, the following are the reasons why they have decided to discontinue TRX: Bitcoin Core Development Update. According to the update, the Bitcoin Core development team has made significant progress on implementing Schnorr signatures in the Bitcoin Core protocol. This will allow users to use a digital signature instead of a private key.
