I have been buying and selling Saab's for over 10 years now, but I am really curious as to what the real popularity of a 2025 Saab (if any) is today. Is it still considered a "rare" car? Is there a huge demand today? What kind of value do they hold? I think you will find that for the most part Saab was made of people who really love the brand and had money to spend on a hobby. In most cases the owners really care about the car, want it to be restored to near original condition and enjoy showing it off and taking their friends out in it. There were of course those that wanted it to be in horrible condition to break up a bank, but the vast majority were well thought of. It is rare for a dealer to offer a warranty for the condition of the engine, transmission or frame if it is not "show" quality. The engine and transmission are fine for everyday driving and normal conditions, but anything like a track day, drag strip or road course, the engine and transmission will fail. All of the parts are cheap and junk parts anyway so we are talking a couple hundred dollars here and there.

They were not made to sell, they were made to use. As the market moved away from them the makers started to make cars to sell rather than use. That is when they stopped making reliable cars. I am sure that there are lots of Saabs that have broken up into junkyards. I have seen them out on the interstate with their hoods open and no sign of ownership. When they had value, they were not rare.

As a general rule of thumb, Saabs are probably the rarest car on the planet today. They are usually in pretty good condition since they are pretty simple to repair or restore. The only major part that you would be missing if you got a 2000Saab would be the sunroof and maybe the seats.
