First new Saab since 2011 announced

2011 was not a good year for Saab. In the year before, the Swedish car manufacturer was sold to Spyker Cars, and finances slowly began to be a struggling point. The Saab production line in Trollhattan was forced to close in April 2011, with the company finally being declared bankrupt at the end of the year.
Moving forward to June 2013, and the bankrupt estates of the company were bought by National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS), a company based in Hong Kong. With the backing of this new company, new vehicles have started to be produced sporting the Saab branding. The new model is known as the 9-3 Aero.
Whilst the new company name will give the impression that new vehicles will be electric powered, the first batch are due to be conventially-fuelled, with alternative fuel models appearing later on in the future.
The first batch of 200 new 9-3 Aeros are due to be delivered to dealerships in spring 2014, with a price tag of around £26,000. More information will be published when it is released.
