The fuel economy of the Ford Falcon might be down but it's not out. And while many think that hybrids are too expensive, the price of the Ford Maverick Hybrid has actually gone up a bit from when the hybrid was first introduced last year.

There are four options on the Ford website for the new hybrid with different prices for the gasoline-electric hybrid, gas-only hybrid, and even a plug-in version. It also seems like the cost of the hybrid versions are increasing each year. The prices haven't really increased from when the vehicle was first introduced. I mean, gas is only getting cheaper each year, and with the new vehicles expected to make even more efficient use of fuel and come with more amenities, it should theoretically get less expensive over time.

Even though hybrids have more options than ever before, buyers may end up paying more for them because of the limited availability of some of the newer options. While that doesn't seem likely, Ford has made the decision to wait until February to release the gas-only hybrid version. With demand so high, they need to start the production process as early as possible to avoid waiting until next summer.

If you have been reading this site or are a Ford lover, you've probably heard about the concept vehicle known as the Ford Maverick Lariat. This vehicle is the design study that would be applied to the front of the current full-size Ford F-150 if it were built in 2025. The project itself came about due to the fact that Ford's engineering team saw that the concept was quite similar to a vehicle already on sale, which is the Ford Explorer.

However, the Ford Maverick Lariat concept design could also be a hybrid vehicle, but since Ford doesn't sell a hybrid version of the Ford F-150, there would need to be a lot of rework to the vehicle for it to make sense. The vehicle has a four-door, five-seat midsize crossover utility vehicle (MUV) exterior design.

Ford has been studying various types of vehicles for some time. There was a report that stated Ford wanted to take a hybrid approach for its next generation of light-duty trucks, so that vehicles could be charged using regenerative braking.

The concept vehicle in question is a plug-in hybrid model, that would be developed as a joint effort with the Volkswagen Group. A plug-in hybrid would put out the same amount of power as a typical gasoline-powered engine, but charge a battery from a generator that uses electrical energy stored in the battery. It would use both an electric motor and a combustion engine for power, just like a regular hybrid vehicle.

The vehicle has a 1.2-liter EcoBoost engine paired with two electric motors, producing roughly 260 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. Combined with a new all-wheel drive system, Ford's first attempt at a production truck will go a long way toward filling a gap between the heavy-duty commercial truck and the light-duty pickup, and we can expect the company to try to build upon its current full-size pickup truck designs.

A vehicle that goes into production in 2025 should have a hybrid powertrain. If this is true, then why wouldn't Ford build a hybrid version of the current F-150? We know that it would only be sold in California. Also, the F-150 is currently sold in other states, so why couldn't Ford sell a hybrid version of that vehicle in other parts of the country?
