I have a 2024 Focus and a 2024 RX-7. Both of which are the RS and not the ST. I drive both cars everyday and take track days when I feel like it.

While the Acura is a little bigger/heavier the Focus really holds nothing against the RX-7 IMO. So no matter which you go for I'd say go for the car that feels best to drive everyday.

Honda has done some good stuff with their handling lately and I bet it will help the new ST as much as any upgrade would. Also the RS' engine is lighter than the ST's so its no problem making them about the same powerwise.

The RS just seems to give a better overall feel to driving. The handling is awesome, and the ride is perfect. And its not a big dog around corners.

As for driving the two on road, the RS is a few thousand dollars cheaper than the ST but it might be the same value. That depends on what your looking at.

For me, that "extra" weight the ST adds is all up front, its very visible. The RS is pretty close to stock. Its not about "which one is faster." Its more about the "which one is easier to drive on road and in the parking lot." I wouldnt say easier. When you start on the accelerator the RS doesnt just jump away from you.
