Can you report someone on Auto Trader?
I would like to report a car on the site but am having trouble finding where to do it. Is this possible to do from the web page? I can see on the car pages that there is a small box with the word "Report" on the top left hand side, but cannot find it anywhere else on the site. Can anyone please help? Many thanks. Answer?: You are allowed to report a car for being in breach of the site's terms and conditions, however you cannot do so via the website. If you want to report a car for this purpose you will need to contact the relevant company directly and inform them of what is going on.
There's a thread on the forum for reporting cars, as well as a link in the FAQs section. I am interested in looking at buying a car for my wife. She lives in Scotland and we are thinking about a Ford Focus or VW Golf.
We are new to the used car world, so I thought that maybe it would best if we got a couple of dealers to go through the cars together and then make a choice based on that. The problem is that I can't find any dealers that will show us around a car. My wife has never been in a car showroom and neither have I. Is there any way that you guys can point us in the right direction.
Thanks in advance. Nick. Answer:Can a potential buyer go car shopping with a dealer? I don't know your local market, but in general you should be able to ask one of the dealers to show you around a car (or ask a friend to do it for you). You might be able to buy a car with a view to purchasing it from the seller, but that's not something I've ever done so I can't comment on whether it's possible.
Hi
So, I have found the information about using the chat room on the site. But, as I had seen the car listed on the auto trader website, it was a 2025 Ford Mondeo 1.4 Ecoboost.
Anyway, when I go to the chat room, I put in my log in details, and it said "No messages are stored." Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

How do I contact Auto Trader?

You can call or text us on 0161 545 9897 or click here to see where we are. If you're thinking about buying a car, the first thing you need to think about is what type of car you want to buy. How you choose the type of car that you want to buy is important because it could take your search for a while to come up with a vehicle that matches your requirements. But even if you already know what car you want, the type of car that you buy will still change how long it takes you to find one.
For example, if you want a cheap car but you don't have the money to buy a cheap car then it may take you a while to find a car that will be good value for money. A cheap car will not cost you much to run and might seem like a good deal, but if you really want something reliable but cheaper you might have to go elsewhere to find a suitable car.
When you're looking for a car, you'll be looking for cars that are going to suit you and your lifestyle - meaning that you need to consider what the car will be used for. You also need to look at what the car will be used for, such as whether it will be used for day to day commuting or whether it will be used for longer journeys, what age group you fall into, and what size of family you need to fit into.
For example, if you want to buy a car for commuting around your local area, then you will be looking for something that is cheap, small, safe and comfortable - not necessarily the biggest or fastest. If you want to commute to work from an area outside your local area you will be looking for something with more space, bigger windows and bigger wheels. If you will only be commuting during the day and you'll be using your car every few days a week then you won't need to worry too much about fuel consumption. But if you'll be travelling long distances and using your car most days of the week you will need to consider this. If you drive long distances then it's probably a good idea to buy a larger car that has more space, more horsepower and can hold more passengers.
