With 50 years under their belt, it makes sense for the British automaker to release a new generation of RS. The 2024 model was just released in the UK last month, with the Focus RS expected to get updated soon in the US. According to rumors that I heard recently, the RS' upcoming debut will be at the 2024 Detroit Auto Show. This will be a true race car that will compete on track against the Volkswagen GTI and the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. The new Focus RS should launch in late summer of 2024 and we'll find out more about it then.

2 Comment. The current 'Focus RS is nothing but a stretched Focus ST, with a few modifications designed to make the vehicle handle better. If Ford really are to make a new RS, they need to introduce some substantial upgrades to the suspension and possibly offer an upgrade to the turbo, but keep it to only a few tweaks.

The Ford Focus RS has been highly anticipated ever since it was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show this past January. This new hot hatch looks to be a true performance machine, boasting plenty of power. We are wondering what the actual horsepower number for the new RS is.

What is the output of the standard 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine? The 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine from the RS was never released in the production Focus RS. This turbo engine from Ford is said to generate about 180 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. It is also expected that the engine will be equipped with direct fuel injection and features exhaust bypass.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that the new Focus RS looks like a hatchback? It could be a good thing because the Focus RS does look quite sporty. It is not unusual for the Ford Focus RS to have a convertible top. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm if there is a convertible top on this particular RS model.

Is the new Focus RS more efficient than the Focus ST? We are sure that this is the case, as the new RS will be lighter than the standard Focus ST. The RS is expected to weigh between 1,050 and 1,060 pounds, while the ST will weigh somewhere around 1,130 pounds.

There is no official release date for the new Focus RS. However, we can make a few educated guesses. The new RS is expected to be on sale during the fourth quarter of 2024. It will be interesting to see if this RS is a limited edition model or not. A number of vehicles in the model line-up will be released in the fall of 2024. We expect the base model Focus RS to be available first, followed by the RS3 model. The final variant of the RS will be a high performance version.

The 2024 Ford Focus RS is based on a European model called the ST, but with two turbochargers and some changes to the suspension. It's an interesting car for several reasons, including that it has less horsepower than the VW Golf R Wagen, but more than the Audi R8 V10. It also has almost no weight saving, though, since the engine is still the same as the regular Focus's 1.6-litre EcoBoost four.

It's not even the heaviest car in this small segment - the Nissan GTR comes in heavier than the Golf R Wagen. Still, its power advantage outclasses the GTR. This suggests that a car that can be driven with its four wheels pointed straight at the horizon at all times (for instance, a Ford Focus RS) is a worthy addition to any automotive enthusiast's portfolio. But if that's the case, then why isn't the RS more expensive, as it's supposed to be a limited run?
