How do I create an Admiral account?

Once you've created a new account, in the navigation bar at the top of the screen click "Create A New Avatar" and follow the prompts. A message should pop up notifying you that your avatar has been successfully assigned to you.

How do I change my Avatar? Simply click on the name of your new Avatar and then click "Set New Avatar". Follow the prompts to choose an alternate Avatar. If you need to make further changes you can go back to your "My Avatars" tab and change it there.

I want to use other images! The Admiral Avatar is a single image with the exception of users that have more than one avatar selected (like me!). All we've done is given you an extra way of displaying these other avatars. You can use any image you like as long as it's at least 400 x 400 pixels.

For example, here are some links to various avatars: I want more than one Avatar! As far as "multiple avatars" goes you've got 2 choices; you can either use the image links above or you can simply put multiple avatars into the same area (if they're small enough) to look similar to the example. This works best if you already have many different images available. However, if you only have one image available this might be a more practical option for you. Here are some examples using the links provided:

What's the difference between Adelphic Avatars and Standard? Adelphic Avatars are all about creating avatars that are recognizable by others. The other benefit of Adelphic Avatars is you're able to use multiple images for each Avatar. Standard Avatars do not have that ability so you will have a single Avatar displayed for the entire room. It's up to you to decide which approach best suits your community.

Why would I want to use different images for different people? You want to make sure your avatars are recognizable when you see them online. In an Adelphic community this isn't an issue because your avatars are only seen once and when it's time to change them out they look similar so other users don't get confused. However, if you host your own forums or websites then each avatar will be visible throughout the entire site so you'll want to make sure your avatars aren't confused with those of other users.
