What is the Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport package?

What is the Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport package?

What's the difference between a TRD and a TRD sport?

I know the TRD sport's have a different suspension than the TRD. And, my old CRX had a TRD sport suspension. It was a little bit softer and the ride was good for it. What's the difference in the suspension between the TRD and TRD sport?

The TRD sport has different springs, dampers, steering and sway bars. The front spring rates are 50% stiffer, which means more control of the car with less bump steer. The lower rate spring on the rear is still softer than the Sport, but it's stiffer then the sport.

I haven't driven the TRD sport yet, but it looks like a good car with an improved chassis over the TRD. I love the TRD suspension for its performance, but the one thing that i've always hated was the way the TRD sport suspension (as a base model) rides in bumps. It rides like an egg shell and there's no "connection" to the road surface, like a normal car would. I know it's supposed to be a sporty suspension, but all I can think of is "how is this suspension supposed to be sports car-like? maybe i'm crazy and it is fine, but I think the suspension should be soft for a sporty car.

If it were me, i'd just order a sport suspension, and then i'd spend the money to buy some of that sticky rubber stuff from the auto shop to mount on the tires. I also got a sport suspension on my C-Si because it was a bit too stiff, and it rides like a piece of shit, bump steering etc. It's not a sporty suspension, it's just a pain in the ass to drive I think TRD has hit it out of the park with the R6. I agree that it's a very balanced car. If you aren't looking for a performance car, this may be your ticket to a daily driver that looks as good as it performs.

What I find hilarious is how many people talk about how the car looks like a "sports car" when it's clearly a performance car. The only thing that gives it away is the "shark teeth" grille, which at this point doesn't even really mean anything.

You can't drive any more than a normal car. It just rides differently.
