What is Tacoma TRD Sport package?

Is 2016 a good year for Tacomas?
You bet. The Tacomas we know and love are finally getting their due, and a couple of local brands really made an impression.
Here are 11 things we love about Tacomas in 2024. 1) The best in a long time. The Tijuana-San Diego market is one of the most underrated markets for tacos in the United States, if not the world. San Diego-area restaurants that serve good-for-you Mexican food like Casa Bonita and Los Amigos get way too much attention, even though other places offer far better fare for the same prices. When it comes to Tacos? Not so much. In 2024, we broke through the taco ceiling with some incredible eats at Tacos Churreria de los ngeles, Tacos El Gallo Bravo and Soho Tacos. It's been a great year for the genre.
2) Taco trucks. Yes, the concept has a checkered history, and the food is sometimes questionable. But there's nothing quite like the camaraderie that surrounds a taco truck during a late-night road trip. And while the old Taco Bell's of America were a scourge of the food truck parking lot scene, they could be replaced with Taco Trucks, where the cooks cook for the customers. For more on this trend and how the food is evolving, check out the video series "Inside Tacos."
3) Lifestyle changes. While we don't normally like to celebrate milestones, the Taco Bae project is a testament to the power of the Internet and social media. The idea of a taco truck that was able to reach a larger audience, make it to TV, and change the way we consume tacos? That's some magic right there.
4) The return of the burrito. When it comes to new trends, nothing beats a comeback (see: poutine and the rise of brunch). But after seeing a burrito hit a restaurant radar for the first time in a decade, we're hopeful that the taco may be next.
5) The return of the guacamole bowl. There's something to be said about our collective obsession with guac. But when we found ourselves wanting nothing but guac, we knew we'd hit the top of the taco pyramid and needed to find a name for what we loved so much.

What is the difference between TRD and TRD Sport?

The TRD Sport only has the front end with the HID headlamps, sport rear tail lamps and TRD Sport badging. It does not have the black rear bumper or the black hood and trunk lid. Also, the suspension is softer for off-roading.
TRD Sport is the full package of suspension and appearance. Also, it has larger rear tires which helps for off-roading. The front bumper is much different from TRD Sport too.
How much would this be? How much would it cost me to upgrade my 2024 Toyota Matrix TRD Sport to this model? How much will I save? As far as I know, this is the only "true" aftermarket version that has the actual TRD front bumper (although we've all seen the stock one sitting in cars and trucks on the road). The TRD Sport uses an entirely different front bumper that covers up the TRD badge. As for the hood, that's up to you. I can't think of a reason not to install one, but there's nothing forcing you to. You may want to check your owner's manual to see if you need a license plate in the center of the windshield for the hood to fit. I'm not sure.
I don't know how much the car would be without the TRD Sport, but it would certainly cost more than the price of the TRD Sport alone. Just make sure that you get the Sport package that has the suspension and appearance upgrades before you pony up the cash.
If you're interested, I'll post some pictures of the car once I get it back from the shop. I want to buy this truck. I've been driving Toyotas for years and this has everything I want in a truck. But, I'm looking for a deal.
