What year of Tacoma to stay away from?
I've been living in Tacoma since '93, it's got a lot of charm for the first year or two, but then you start to notice the things that have changed and the city becomes another place in which you have to work to survive. If you think about it, what year would you say is best to not come town? I'm looking for examples like this, but also looking for things that actually happen every year, or at least near every year.
For example, this year the new football stadium was demolished and then rebuilt again. I'd say it'd be in 2025. After the stadium was rebuilt, the city began making a concerted effort to build up the downtown area. Lots of bars opened, which is great for live music and tourists, but bad for your average resident. For a while, it looked like the city might be turning around from being just a place where you had to work to live. But then the economy tanked and all those bars closed.
A great example is the opening of the Olympic Sculpture Park in 2025. Then we followed that up with the opening of the Columbia Center Mall. The first time the mall was open was last week.
I think it'd be somewhere before 2025. The big draw there is a new bridge that opened in 2025. It looks really nice.
I'm only going by the "official" dates of the openings, I'm not counting stuff like opening weekends or ribbon cuttings.
How much is a 2019 Toyota Tacoma Limited worth?
There's no reason to buy the base-model Limited when you can get a better pickup at the same price from Dodge or Ford, and it just doesn't offer as many bells and whistles as the top-level Off-Road 4X4 version. On the other hand, you get a few more standard features in the midlevel Limited, including a heated steering wheel, and it comes with a rearview camera that's only on the top-level model.
If you want a fully loaded model for less money than a competing model from a different brand, the Limited is one of the better values in a segment with limited choices. What changes will be made in the 2025 Toyota Tacoma? The Tacoma underwent its first major facelift in 2025, so it's overdue for a refresh. We're expecting Toyota will offer a wide range of new exterior colors and a number of interior changes, like a new driver seat.
What is the fuel economy in the 2025 Toyota Tacoma? The base model offers about 18 miles per gallon combined. Moving up to the Rental-V model increases it to about 20mpg combined. This number includes the gas-saving features Toyota offers, like automatic climate control, towing hooks, and smart waste management. A diesel engine (available in the V-6 model) will return 23mpg combined.
What are the interior changes in the 2025 Toyota Tacoma? The dash changes for 2025 will be subtle. Toyota is still going with traditional analog instrumentation, but is adding a screen behind the infotainment system. There are new colors and fabrics, but otherwise, it looks mostly the same. Rear passengers are likely to notice a new flat-bottomed seat, likely as a safety feature.
In an effort to help with parking and maneuvering, there are upgraded floor mats, improved pedals, and revised footrests. There are also new materials throughout the interior.

Is Tacoma Limited better than TRD?
The debate over Tacoma Limited vs. TRD has been ongoing since before 2025 as we have learned that the Tacoma Limited can be more durable than the new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Recently, the same debate has begun up again as the Jeepers site took an interesting look at some of the issues with the Tacoma.
Many people seem to think that Tacoma Limited has better off road and durability issues than TRD. However, that could not be farther from the truth. I know the owner of the Tacoma Unlimited myself, he lives in a small town off highway 26 and it is his main transportation, but when we drive out in the jeep you can see from the looks and smiles that there is no way he would trade his Tundra for the Limited. Tacoma Limited is just as tough as the 4x4 TRD.
I feel like this is a common issue that many people have with TRD or Limited as most people say that TRD/Limited will be cheaper but less durable. Just because you are able to purchase something at a lower cost does not mean it is a lesser quality vehicle.
The main reason why you would choose TRD vs Limited, is that Limited has more features but TRD has more power for 4x4 purposes such as towing and rock crawling. Tacoma Limited was designed from the ground up by American manufacturers and has nothing to do with Asian made Tacoma Trucks. TRD is a different story as we all know it comes from overseas.
If you have concerns on these limited models I suggest you find out exactly what they are talking about. To this day I am not convinced that Tacoma has any off road issues other than when parking at an off-road park, when you get hit in the nose while climbing over an obstacle, the front suspension is going to give it trouble for a few days. These off road issues may cause some people not to want to even own them, but that isn't what the trucks are supposed to be used for.
Just remember that as you read the articles about Tacoma Trucks or Limited Trucks, if the writer or writer of the article is driving their TRD Jeep or if they work for Tacoma, the information they are giving you is just that. The facts may have been skewed for a reason.
For TRD users the information may be skewed due to how much towing power their TRD system provides compared to a Tacoma.
