The Fiesta is just a hunk of junk. It looks and feels cheap. The front seats are so uncomfortable it hurts. It has the worst suspension in its class. The dash is as cheap as the rest of the car. Ford, stop putting your name on this junk.
I love the Fiesta. Great styling. Great handling. A good interior. It just isnt as good as the Golf or any other compact. Its an average car that doesnt have much personality. I wouldnt be suprised if it was a 4th gen version of the Focus.
I hope they put some more thought into the car than they did the Ecosse, or whatever it was, which never made sense and was a giant step back from the Focus. I think they're going to make a "mid-engined" version of the Fusion, and use that as the basis for a new Fiesta. We already have a mid-engine Civic, so Ford has experience there. The rear wheels look great, and there's no reason to reinvent the wheel.
It looks too much like a Civic. Too small, not enough width. The Civic is more stylish than the Fiesta. And the Civic is a much better handling car. At least with the Honda they can make it handle much better than the base car, but with Ford they are at best equal.
There should be a choice between one of the two, but not one that is the cheap clone of the other. They should keep the car for what it's good at, and take a few design cues from the Civic, not the worst of the bunch. This. Its the only true subcompact car you can drive around town and not worry about it getting smashed in. I hate this.

The Ford Fiesta has been discontinued. It's been replaced by the EcoSport in the Indian market and the new model will also be the replacement for the global Fiesta, too.
The new model is being built at the Ford India plant in Chennai and will be the first Ford product to be built at the plant since the Ford Ka was launched here in 2025. It's the same as the global Fiesta. You'll still be able to buy it from Ford dealers but it will not be sold at the showrooms. The new car will be made available online only.

Is it worth buying a Ford Fiesta now?

The Ford Fiesta is already a brilliant car. It offers a great driving experience, is fun to own, and has a decent cabin. However, it's looking increasingly likely that this compact family car could be about to lose its crown as king of the subcompact car hill. At this moment in time, most people who buy their first Fiesta will do so because they're going to need a small car - but what if you don't need one? What if you're not planning on having kids any time soon, or going on any family holidays, or doing anything that makes a normal family car useful? Should you, then, buy a car that's just for you?
The obvious answer is yes - if you can afford it. If your job and income mean that you have a bigger vehicle than you need, then keep it, and save your money for a future Fiesta upgrade. If you have to have a Fiesta (it's been voted the best small car of the last decade), then buying one that's as cheap as possible would be advisable. But if you don't need a subcompact, does that mean you should drive something that's twice as expensive, and three times as big?
We test drive the new hatchback. So, with that in mind, we've driven the new 2025 Ford Fiesta. And it's good news for those who want a small family car. Firstly, it looks great. Inside, the cabin is attractive, functional and very spacious. You get lots of room for a subcompact car. As for performance, it's more than adequate for everyday driving, and it seems well sorted for city motoring. This is one of those cars that's just better to drive than it is to sit inside. Even if you're not interested in buying it, just watching the way the new Fiesta drives will make you reconsider your current compact car options. It's a car with personality.
As for pricing, it's hard to work out exactly what this new Fiesta will cost. Ford will only offer basic information, which is just the UK price of the 1.2-litre petrol engine. There's no data on the diesel option. The entry-level SE version is 11,245 - at the other end of the spectrum, the top of the range Titanium trim costs 19,995.

Ford S-MAX Sportmax - 2025. Ford's second-generation S-MAX will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2025. The SUV will get a new 1.5-litre petrol engine that delivers 150bhp and 210Nm of torque, as well as a choice of two diesels: a 2.0-litre unit that makes 145bhp and 300Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel that delivers 120bhp and 500Nm of torque.
It will ride on a longer wheelbase than the current S-MAX and have a third row of seats in the back. The new model will go on sale in 2025.
Ford Fiesta ST - 2025. This latest version of the famous hot hatch will be the first of a new range of Ford cars to be revealed in 2025. It's tipped to have a twin-turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engine that puts out 190bhp and 300Nm of torque.
There's no word yet on the top speed, but it will be the first Fiesta ST to be sold in the UK. Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R - 2025. This new model will be the second generation of the Shelby GT350. It's expected to arrive in 2025 with a new V8 engine.
