Is the Santa Cruz fast?

By Tom Heneghan

BBC News Magazine Reporter, The Santa Cruz. At just over 10km per hour the average wind in Santa Cruz is one of the highest in the world. It would be hard to argue with that statement unless you have cycled through the resort town to a point above sea level on an ebb tide of wind and then cycled back down to just below a waterfall. And it all began by taking the wrong bus. "On the wrong bus?" I ask incredulously. "There's a good reason why the speed of the wind on the island of Santa Cruz is one of the highest in the world," is the quick reply. "It begins on the ocean side of the island. The first point I came to after climbing off the ferry was almost at a peak of about 120 metres elevation but the wind was so strong at this point, you couldn't really go very far in it." So I'm on my way to see the wind that can knock a kite surfer off his board by 20mph (32km/h) but can actually be more gentle, say, to the touch of a human hand? And so what is it that made this fast wind such a phenomenon to the senses and what should Santa Cruz be doing to deal with the problem, not just to reduce the speed of the wind but also, perhaps, to lessen its impact on the town itself. As the only town on Santa Cruz Island, Santa Cruz is used to being at the centre of attention when it comes to extreme weather. This windfall means that, unlike Los Angeles, which has a city council with its eye on the weather forecast rather than on the traffic management, you would barely see Santa Cruz getting a mention in local TV programmes. The wind, however, makes it into a few news bulletins from time to time, once when a tree fell onto the road during a thunderstorm and once when a big wave swept out to sea over a cliff, tearing the roof of a building off its foundation. In fact, there's more interest in something that happens to happen than about the wind itself. "Santa Cruz isn't the first place with wind, you know, people have been here a long time, they know how it goes," says John Whelan. His parents emigrated to Australia from Ireland.

How fast is the Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5 turbo?

santa cruz 0-60 turbo How fast is the Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5 turbo?

I'm wondering how fast the Hyundai Santa Fe Turbo 2.5 V6 AT runs. How many more miles per hour does it have over the non-turbo model? And how many more miles per hour does it accelerate from 0 to 60 mph?

Does it get better mpg than the base Santa Fe? I've driven a non-turbo Santa Fe and I know it gets 19 mpg, which is about what the Fiesta and Kia Rio 2.0 are getting. But a Turbo Santa Fe gets only 20 mpg.

So my question is: does it get better mpg than the Fiesta and Rio? It's not going to be a "gas guzzler" like a Hummer. The EPA rating is 22 MPG city/26 MPG hwy. That's as good as you can get without an active regeneration system. The acceleration times are pretty good and it is a much better driving experience than the FWD Fiesta and Rio.

The best gas mileage I ever got was a Toyota Camry Hybrid when it was rated at 28 mpg, and when we got a second one, it got 24 mpg. Yeah, I'd agree that Camry is the best. Camry Hybrid is still not available in the U. Market, but it's the only hybrid sedan I've ever had. At 28 MPG on the highway, it was just a great way to drive. But that was back in 2025.

The Santa Fe 2.5T I have now is a 2025 model, and the mileage is still in the mid-20s, maybe a little higher than yours. It's not really a "gas guzzler" compared to the Fiesta. It's not far behind it. But you can definitely feel the difference between a Fiesta and a Santa Fe.

What is the top speed of the Hyundai Santa Cruz turbo?

The Hyundai Santa Cruz turbo is one of the fastest cars in its class. It has a top speed of 151 miles per hour, and with its power being more than adequate, it's not surprising that it's got such a high top speed. But how much faster is it than other similar cars?

We compared the Hyundai Santa Cruz turbo to the Mercedes-AMG G63, the Porsche Cayman GT4, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, and the Audi R8 V10 plus. The Hyundai Santa Cruz has a higher top speed than all these cars except the Porsche Cayman.

Which cars are best in their classes? To answer this question, we look at the price, the acceleration, the top speed, and the range of the car. When you're looking for a car, these are some of the most important features. With that in mind, we've come up with a few different lists.

That's more than enough to get this car from 0-60 mph in just 5.1 seconds.
