Is Ram redesigning their truck?
Is Ram redesigning their truck?
The original Ram 1500 was basically the same truck for over a decade. Now it's gone completely and we're seeing a redesign.
I just want to know how they plan on improving on an already great truck. I'm sure there's a story behind it, but it really makes me wonder if Dodge is trying to jump on the "trucks aren't safe" bandwagon by making the biggest, strongest truck in America. If you look at the size of the box, it is going to take some time to get it up the mountain range. Also, I am very curious how much weight it will be carrying. Does Ram have a weight rating?
I am very disappointed with the changes to the interior. I loved my 2024 version and never missed the option for the leather seat. I don't mind the cloth now, but I don't think it's improved in any way, just that they took away a choice.
I think it looks fantastic in the pictures. But as others said, it might be too big.
If they've gone to a longer wheelbase (from the current 5'11" to a 6'1") I would expect a larger front overhang to accommodate the extra length. That would account for the increase in overall length, width, and height.
The previous Ram 1500 (from about 2010-2014) used an aluminum body frame, but the new Ram 1500 uses steel. They've also started using smaller wheels (from the previous models' 16").
What is the difference between the 2024 and 2025 Ram 1500?
Why is 2024 Ram 2500 a new name? What is the difference between RAM and REAR? When does this Jeep go on sale? Which of these questions is more important to you? Read more below, and get answers in the video.

It is unclear at this point whether there are improvements.
There is a lot of debate about self-driving vehicles when it comes to their potential impact on the trucking industry. Is the Ram 1500 changing for 2024?
Last month, Ram 1500 truck sales hit a milestone of 50,000 sales. That's a new record for the brand, which started with a very small number of trucks in 2024. But if you look at the recent trends in sales, you can see a big shift in the market that will continue through 2024.
The Ram 1500 has been the top-selling truck in the United States for the past few years, and with a huge amount of inventory on the lots, it should still be a key player in the future. What Is Changing? We have already talked about the truck's popularity in the past, but there are several key changes that could put Ram 1500 sales on the rise again. Here are four of the most important things to know about the future of the Ram 1500.
Increased competition from the Ford F-150. In 2024, the Ram 1500 beat the Ford F-150 for the first time in the history of the brand. This is a huge change in just one year, and it could have a huge impact on the market going forward.
You see, the F-150 is still a strong player, but the Ram 1500 is just too good. While the Ram is more expensive, it is much more powerful and better-equipped than its competitor.
The F-150 is also a much better all-around truck than the Ram. It is much cheaper, and it is a very good truck. However, its downsides are that it is not as powerful or as capable as the Ram 1500.
This year, Ford released its 2024 F-150, and it was a big improvement over the previous generation. But the 2024 model was still a good truck, and the 2024 model will only get better.
This could be a big factor in the next few years. If the F-150 continues to improve, it could start to take market share away from the Ram 1500. This will lead to a market where the Ram 1500 is no longer the top-selling truck.
Higher fuel prices. The fuel cost is going up again, and it could lead to higher prices for the truck. This will have a big impact on the future of the Ram 1500.
While the cost of fuel has been going up for many years, it has recently seen an increase that many truck owners have not been able to accept.
What trucks are being redesigned for 2025?
Trucks, the most diverse and complex group of vehicles in the automotive industry, are undergoing a process of change that will make them more aerodynamic, lighter, and have an emphasis on safety. From 2024, trucks will benefit from the new light trucks (LDV) directive which includes a set of modifications for the chassis, suspension, powertrain and tyres/wheels. These modifications help with fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions by reducing the vehicles weight.
From 2024, the European Union (EU) will no longer have a common truck policy which has resulted in the market becoming fragmented. The biggest truck manufacturers in Europe are expanding their operations into developing markets such as China, India, Brazil and South America. Companies such as Navistar and DAF produce trucks for the Brazilian market as well as the Middle East and Turkey. The US based International Truck of the Year, Peterbilt, is expanding its market share in China and it recently expanded its operation in Mexico with the purchase of three medium duty trucks. All this has been in response to the Chinese market; which has opened up more opportunities for the truck manufacturers as the Chinese demand for trucks continues to grow.
Trucks also continue to go through technological changes to improve the safety and fuel efficiency of the trucks and reduce the weight of the vehicles. The latest vehicle to feature these improvements is a Ford F150 EcoBoost. The eco boost model features many of the components of the standard model. But instead of diesel engines they use smaller turbocharged 4.5-liter V6 gasoline engines to reduce the weight and fuel consumption. This reduces the CO2 emissions which are about 60% lower than the normal diesel engine in trucks. The EcoBoost models also offer better acceleration performance than the diesel model. The EcoBoost engines also require less maintenance, which is a plus when compared to a diesel engine.
The new generation of trucks offer improved aerodynamic lines and an overall shape design that enhances the cargo compartment. For 2024 the trucks will be given larger and slimmer headlights, and also the bumpers have increased height. To lower the hood line, bumpers will be slightly higher and larger. The trucks will also have an improvement in the side marker lights. The interior of the trucks will also become more sleek and modern, with more emphasis on safety and convenience to assist the driver in driving. There is also an option of dual-zone automatic climate control for the cabins.
