Where does the term "AutoList" come from? How do you pronounce autolist. When Autolist was first created, we wanted to create a place for people to list their favorite apps. We called them Autos, but were told this could lead to legal issues for us in the US and abroad. So we settled on the term "AutoList".

The first version of Autolist was a little like Yelp, it showed the top apps listed in the U. However due to high rates of app churning and the inability to filter apps by keyword and category, people stopped using our app. The next iteration of the application was an iPhone app only app and it had a basic news feed to help people discover apps they didn't know about. Again, people left our app as our "Top 25" list was less than the official App Store top 25 and there was no way to submit apps for inclusion in the list.
